Pied Piper

Lowering your head, you backed up, trying to find a means of escape. Being cornered like the prey you were.

“You're looking much better.” He nodded toward you, pursing his lips like he was appraising you. “It was nice enough of V to clean you up just in time for dinner.”

Throat gone dry, you shook your head, your eyes darting to Taehyung for help. But he just sat there on his knees, head down, hiding behind his bangs.

“I didn't get to eat all day because of you.” Suga clicked his tongue.

In a flash, he had your arm in his fist, throwing you down onto the bed and pinning you there.

Struggling, you tried to slap and kick and thrash around, doing whatever you could to fight him off, yelling all the while.

But Suga had your arms pinned in seconds. There was no playing with his food. No gentle embrace. Just simple and to the point as he bent over you and bit into your neck like a ripened apple he plucked from a tree.

The searing pain of his sharp canines puncturing your newly repaired flesh forced a cry from your lungs. Your whimpers falling on deaf ears as he drew your life-blood from your body like a fucking milkshake, making your head spin. Speckles of white dotting your vision.

You couldn't help but let your gaze fall to Taehyung who was avoiding looking at the scene before him, disappearing behind the door.

Leaving you to the mercy of his friend.

Feeling cold and nauseous, you didn't know if you were moving, or if the world was spinning.

That question being answered by Suga's face coming into view as he held you up, your blood decorating his stark white skin.

“Don't bleed all over my bed.” He tsked with a frown, licking the red from his lips.

Glaring at his blurring image, you pushed him away from you, landing yourself flat on your ass on the floor.

“I wouldn't if I didn't have a reason to bleed.”

Tutting, he lifted you back up from the floor and shoved you toward the door. “Go clean up or something. I need to figure out your sleeping situation.” Then the door was shut in front of your face.

Leaning against the wall, you cupped your neck, attempting to stem the bleeding. The way things were going, you would be dead in no time, and frankly, you weren't sure that was such a bad thing at this point.

Weakly, you began walking. Unsure where you were even going as you stumbled along with clouding vision. Pulse in your ears.

“Y/n?” You barely heard the words as someone pulled your arm, stopping you. As your hand fell away from the gushing wound, Jungkook, who had been standing there, was already across the room, crashing over furniture along the way. His eyes glaring bright, vivid red.

“What are you doing walking around like that?!” He hissed, his voice thick with a growl. Looking like he both wanted to attack you or run away from you simultaneously.

Before you could utter a word, two more figures joined the conversation. One of them catching your lilting form, and the other, Jin, holding Jungkook by his shoulders and keeping him pinned to the wall where he threw himself.

You would have to think about what all occurred another time, however.

Someone's mouth pressed firmly against the wound, making you flinch as pain registered through your numb mind. Their tongue a fire-brand as it lapped at the torn flesh.

Reaching up you grabbed a handful of hair, weakly trying to pull the assailants head away. The pain even more agonizing than the bite that caused the wound in the first place. Your whimpered cries came to an end as the pain stopped, the assailant's voice intruding your ear the next second.

“You're ok. Let go.” They said, gently taking your hand from their hair.

When you finally relented, the floor began moving under your feet.

“Clean up. I'll get Kook calmed down and get some things ready for her.” Jin's distant voice called.

You focused on your breathing and staying conscious while being led to a bathroom. The harsh lights suddenly invading your retinas making you want to vomit as you looked about the white tiled room.

Everything was.. well.. white. Apart from the brass metal fixings on the bath, toilet, and sink and the tiny pink roses on the mirror, that is. But looking in the mirror, you finally looked at who was half-carrying you in and quickly shutting the door before leaning you against the counter.

“Taehyung?” You squinted, unsure if it was actually him or one of the other two blonde/silver haired males.

“Sorry for leaving you.” He mumbled, busy locking the door and getting towels.

You leaned on your elbows, hovering your face over the sink, too afraid of getting sick to respond while he turned on the shower. The small room quickly filling with steam.

His warm hands touched your cold, clammy arms, carefully standing you up a little. “I'm taking this off.” He warned. But before you could even process what he meant, you already heard the sound of ripping material and seen the visual of your already ruined dress, melting away from your body as if it was just tissue paper under his hands.

Gasping, you leaned back over the sink, attempting to cover yourself.

“Y-you can't just do that!” You yelped, looking through the mirror at the blonde who seemed unconcerned with common formalities.

Ignoring you, he paused. His eyes locking onto the bite on your thigh before he knelt onto the tiles. You were completely unprepared for the sensation of his hot moist tongue dipping between your thighs, lapping at the bite mark just bellow your bottom, making you jerk forward with surprise.

“T-Taehyung!” You scolded, but weakly let him do his vampire healing thing while you examined your wan appearance in the mirror. You were ghastly pale with dark bags under your eyes. Your lips taking on a ashen hue. Your body quivering and completely slathered in blood, you looked like a horror extra about to go on set.

Taehyung's hand tightening on your thigh to hold you steady when you tilted to the side, brought your mind back to the male. By the time he was done, your face regained some of it's color. Though you suspected that was because what little of your blood remained inside your body was rushing into your face in a blush.

His arms snaked around you and began pulling you toward the shower but you jerked away from him, slapping at his hands.

“I can bathe myself.” You insisted, covering yourself with one of the towels.

“But if you fall..” He pouted, child Tae returning. He was giving you whiplash..

“I'll take a bath instead of a shower.” You promised.

He hesitated, but nodded.

“Good.” You turned away from him, pulling the knobs to change the shower into a bath, expecting he would leave.

Until you turned to see him almost half naked, his shirt unbuttoned down to his sternum.

“What are you doing?!” Snapping, you clutched at his shirt, pulling the two halves together and began pushing him backwards to the door. “Out out out!”

“I'm not bathing you.” He frowned, his pout increasing. “I want to take a bath too.”

“Then take one somewhere else!” As you reached for the door handle and began to open the door, his large hand caught the thing and kept it shut tight, staying quiet until you brought your eyes up to glare at him.

Your heart skipped a beat involuntarily at the sight of him. His hair sticking to his neck and forehead, the steam making his skin damp and sweaty. His caramel skin aglow and peaking out from his hung open shirt. But more importantly, was the intense seriousness of his gaze. The chocolate browns digging through yours, straight to your soul.

After a long moment, his long lashes fluttered as if coming out of a trance, his expression softening to a more sad and gentle one.

“Before..” He breathed, his voice husky. “When I left you there..”

He looked so sad, standing there with vulnerability in his eyes. Without thinking, you reached up and pet the top of his head like a puppy.

“I understand.” Was all you said, watching with a small smile as relief washed over him. He reminded you so much of a child, it brought out your gentle side when he was near you. Making it hard to believe he was one of those creatures.

With a final pat, you opened the door and began pushing him out while he whined and protested until he was locked on the other side of the wood.

With a relieved sigh, you removed the remainders of your clothing, careful not to fall over as dizziness swept through your and got in the bath, watching as your blood stained the water.

You had a lot to think about as you washed away the last of the evidence of the torture this place brought you.

For starters, Taehyung's whiplash personalities. He was one way one minute, and completely different the next. Jimin's words echoed through your mind. “He's uncontrollable. You should leave him to himself.” He had said.

You weren't sure what to make of Taehyung yet, but so far he was the only one who actually felt remotely trustworthy in this household. Jin seemed friendly, but had an air of mystery around him, somehow feeling considerably older than the others. And as for the others, they were vicious, just like you've always heard in fairytales of Vampires and werewolves and the like.

Escaping probably meant making a friend and Taehyung was probably your best bet. Not only because he was so easy to befriend, but something made you suspect he's just as much of a prisoner as you.

All cleaned, you carefully climbed out of the bath, wrapping yourself up in a towel and took in your appearance once more, looking not much better. Then opened the door to find Jungkook leaning against the stairwell in front of the bathroom door, holding out a T-shirt.

“It's all I could find. It's mine so it'll be too big. Sorry.” He smiled a little, looking guilty as you took the shirt from him, nodding gratefully.

“I'll wait out here to help you to the kitchen.” The brunette stated, turning his head away like he was embarrassed, clearing his throat.

“Um.. Thank you.” You shyly responded, disappearing into the bathroom to pull the shirt over your head. He was right. It was massive on you, looking more like a dress than a shirt. You almost laughed at the sight of yourself in the mirror, drowning in the material, looking like a child wearing their parent's clothes.

When you exited the steam filled room, as promised, Jungkook was standing where he had been. Only this time, his back turned to you and looking over his shoulder.

“Climb on.” The male gruffly commanded.

You scoffed at the offer. “No, it's ok. I can walk.”

He turned to you, brow raised in sarcastic denial. “Oh can you? Because you look like you're about to keel over any minute now.” His breathy laugh mocked you as you had to catch yourself on the door frame, another dizzy spell hitting you.

Without missing a beat, he scooped you up into his arms, carrying you bridal down the stairs, ignoring your badgering.

You were busy keeping the shirt in place and yelling at the brunette when he entered the kitchen.

“Delivery.” He announced loudly, taking on the tone you see in pizza commercials.

“Well at least she's looking lively.” Jin breathed, setting a bowl down at the counter.

Being set down in the bar stool, you gave the soup a reluctant glare, remembering all too well what happened the last time soup was in front of your face.

“No rice in this one.” Jin said softly, reading your mind.

“Or maggots?” You peered at him suspiciously.

“Or maggots.”

Stirring the contents of the bowl, as promised, you found spinach, tomatoes and lentils in the steaming dark broth. Looking up at a expectant Jin and a bored faced Jungkook, you gave a pitiful look.

“I'll take maggot soup, please.”

Jungkook scoffed, taking the spoon and blowing on the contents. “It won't be so bad.” He stated, rolling his eyes.

“How do you know? Do you even eat?”

Pressing the silverware against your lips, he rolled his eyes. “Yes, as a matter of fact, I do.”

Scrunching your face, you accepted the offering grudgingly, looking over to Jin who was taking a seat by you. “It's good for anemia. Tomato and lentil soup. But I put it in beef broth with spinach to add extra iron for energy.”

Trying your best to hide your bitter reaction, you smiled at the ravenette who was gauging your expression. He didn't seem to buy it, but he didn't comment on it as Taehyung, whom you didn't even notice was in the room, poured some contents from a pot into a mug then carefully bringing it over while blowing on it dramatically.

“It's really hot.” The blonde warned, gingerly placing the ceramic in front of you. You barely managed to thank him before he was already gone in the time it took you to shift your eyes toward his general direction from the mug.

Jungkook began cackling at the look on your face while Jin explained needlessly, “He's fast. The second fastest out of all of us.”

Nodding your head, you sipped at the unknown contents of the mug, a spark of recognition hitting you.

This is the same tea. Pondering that thought, you carefully sipped at it again before turning to Jin, who seemed to be a well of information.

“What's this?”

The elder vampire had to think for a moment before he answered, nudging your soup more toward you. “V's special concoction. He makes it for himself when he hasn't fed in a while.”

Opening your eyes, you stared up at the hard-set jawline of Jimin as he sternly looked ahead, his eyes skewed and brows drawn. He must have felt your stare, because he looked down in surprise before putting on a soft smile. Though that frown line never fully disappeared.

“Didn't expect you to come to so quickly.”

In too much shock over recent events, you just dropped your eyes to your pale skin, examining every cut and scratch for anymore spiders until you were set down on the oasis in the kitchen.

“So you met V.” The words more of a statement as the blonde walked about the abundantly clean room.

Weird the kitchen of all places would be so clean. Apart from being where they seem to take their dirty work, they don't even use it, do they? You wondered absently, examining the black marbled flooring and Prussia-blue cabinets, topped with a birch wood counter-top. The area was very classy for a lodge out in the woods.

When Jimin entered your field of vision again, he had a wet cloth in hand and first aid kit.

“He's uncontrollable, so unless you want to die faster, you should just feed him when necessary and leave him to himself.” He began treating the deeper wounds, but paused. Seeming to think before saying, “Probably Jungkook too, actually.” Then he went about treating your old and new wounds.

You blinked. Not even raising your head. You barely heard a word he spoke. You just couldn't stop seeing the spiders. They were everywhere and now they were even in your mind. You didn't understand.

In fact, you didn't understand any of this.

You were abducted by blood sucking vampires.

Real vampires..

Vampires are real?!

Your eyes widened, tremors taking over your body.

They fed from you. Planned to feed from you until they were done with you. Then they would kill you. One almost killed you just now in the attic.  With an illusion.

Jimin noticed the change in you right away and groaned with exasperation. “You're going to make me do it again, aren't you?”

Not understanding his question, you didn't bother to answer, figuring it was rhetorical anyway.

With another sigh, he cupped your tender cheek, making you wonder if it were slapped.

Brushing his thumb against your skin, he didn't stop there. Letting his hand slide further back into your hair to brush his fingers through it as he leaned in. Whispering into your opposite ear, “Shh~ It's ok princess.” He rocked your body side to side. “It was a nightmare. It's all a nightmare. I'm here to comfort you now, don't worry.” His lips tickled your ear, pulsating waves of calmness and warm fuzzy relaxation running through your limbs and fingertips. Your lids becoming heavy.

By the time he pulled away, you felt like you were wrapped up in a cozy blanket. The drug induced calmness fogging your mind.

“Jimin?” You mumbled, not quite sure if you managed to actually speak or if it was just in your head.

“Yes, beautiful?” He breathed. He sounded exhausted.

“What did you do to me?”

He chuckled, patting your head. A smirk playing on his soft features.

“Why, I used my magic on you princess.” He laughed again. “A spell to help you feel better.”

“You're not a witch though. You're a vampire.” Your words were slurred, sounding like you just walked out of a bad frat party.

His beautiful smile fell, his brows knitting together for just a moment before he turned stone faced.

“You don't have to worry about it. Let's get you put away now.” He murmured, like you were a toy that got abused and left out. “Namjoon decided, you will stay with Yoongi.” Jimin explained, picking your drugged, limp body up once again. “But if you ever feel lonely, you can join me in my room.” His voice was teasing, a glint in his eye. But something in the back of your mind told you that it would be better if you stayed far away from there.

You wanted to argue.

Hell, you wanted to say anything.

But at the moment, every muscle in your body was tingling and you were just.. too damn tired to speak or protest as you were carried through the house.

As you felt a soft and cozy surface press against your back, you curled onto your side, opening your eyes to find yourself in Yoongi's- or, Suga's room.

You were surprised, to say the least.

Looking about the weirdly modern room, you muttered “No pinups or old artsy stuff?”

Jimin laughed at your comment, “Yoongi likes to keep up to date. Don't touch his equipment though. He will get mad.” With that, he was out the door, closing it behind him with a final click.

Whatever Jimin did to you was better than any sleeping pill and as much as you would have liked to snoop around or try to escape again, you could barely even lift your head.

Your eyes fluttered closed as your mind spun. Everything felt warm and soft. Like you were floating, just about to fall asleep when a twinge of something went off in your head.

Is.. The mattress dipped?

Sleepily opening your eyes, it took you a couple seconds to realize you were looking into a pair of brown ones.

Somehow, through the fogginess, panic's cold grip managed to find you as you leapt back with a yelp. Falling in a tumble onto the floor.

You peaked up at the laughing deviant with a frown, ready to snap at them until you fully took in who it was.

“V.”

Swallowing hard, you watched as his hearty laugh quickly faded into a pout as he sat up, feet together and hands in his lap like a guilty child.

“I'm sorry.” His heavy voice murmured. “I didn't want to hurt you. Or scare you.”

Hesitantly, you lifted your shaking form back onto the bed, settling as far away from him as you could. You waited to get your fear under control before speaking, so as not to give yourself away.

“Then why did you do it?”

His brown eyes shifted to the side, his head ducking down. “I don't know. You scared me.”

Now it was your turn to laugh.

Releasing the bitterest scoff, you looked away to search for calm before resting your angry stare back on the pouting blonde.

“Are you serious? I scared you? You're joking.”

But he just shifted nervously, still not meeting your eye.

Sputtering, you glanced about the room, looking for an ounce of sanity to be found anywhere. Everything that has happened to you over the last couple of days making your head spin.

“Taehyung.” His baritone voice cut in, stopping your racing mind.

“What?” You frowned.

“My name is Taehyung. Not V.”

Finally his eyes found their way back to yours. They were clearer than the first time you seen them. Lucid.

“Um.. ok, Taehyung? Why not V?” But he just shrugged in answer. Trying again, you thought of a different question.

“Why do they call you V?”

This time, his tilted his head cutely, his eyes looking to the ceiling thoughtfully as his lips pursed. “Mmm.. Because I'm their victory?” His attention turned back to you with a wide rectangular grin, his eyes almost turning a full upside down U.

A giggle escaped your chest, turning into a full blown laugh.

It was the first laugh you have had in weeks, since your life first began crumbling.

Tears streamed down your face as you chortled, your mind cracking as everything piled up, crushing you in despair. In fear. In memories.. Jimin's spell completely wearing off, leaving you open and bare to this new onslaught of emotions that you were spilling in front of this- this- being staring at you like you grew two heads.

Confused, Taehyung's smile disappeared as he watched you slowly decline into whatever mess you became, pulling you into his lap without saying a word. Hugging you tight and pressing your face against his chest.

You truly felt you had gone insane as your laughs became painful sobs.

His big hand pet your hair as you both sat there for a long time.

You couldn't stop.

You wanted to, but all you could do was sit helplessly as your brain did a complete playback of every horrible moment leading up to this one.

From the insecure parts of your relationship, where you would get jealous at every passing waitress who looked like an instagram model that your boyfriend would ogle, making you feel low. Comparing yourself to every woman he flirted with because you couldn't compare. You always felt he deserved more in college when you first started dating, but it became more apparent as he grew into a very attractive man, and you stayed.. well.. you. These feelings declining your once, comfortable and happy relationship.

Then to the day you found him in bed with another woman. The cold way he looked at you, while the woman actually appeared guilty. She had left you two alone as you cursed and screamed, giving you no witnesses or defense to the attack. His words echoing through your mind as you remembered that day. “Don't you dare fucking walk away from me!”

Now, after you were finally free, having escaped that nightmare and ended up staying with a friend. Now you found yourself abducted by monsters that don't exist, not knowing when or how you were going to die based on their whims.

And here you are, crying like a baby in one of those creature's arms. The arms of the same one that probably broke your mind with his spider voodoo.

I am insane..

You hadn't realized Taehyung started singing and rocking you until you began to calm down, your tears beginning to run out as you sniffled. Your face pressed against his left peck, soaking the white button-down.

The song he was singing was low and beautiful. Sad.

It hit you like a ton of bricks when you realized it was Adele's “Someone Like You.”

You couldn't help but smile, fighting back a giggle over the choice of song.

Evil vampires like Adele? You wondered.

As he got into the song, reaching the chorus, you couldn't help but be mesmerized by his beautiful voice. The soft, vulnerable nuances as he sang making your heart ache. His chest vibrating against your cheek with the bass of his voice.

Once his song ended, the room was dead silent. Only his breathing and his heartbeat audible to you.

You didn't think Vampires needed to breathe. Or had heartbeats. But you didn't mind in this case, since it was calming you down.

After some more time passed, you gently pulled back and looked up at his soft features as he looked back at you.

His brown eyes focused on your face, bouncing around like he was searching for any hint of what you were thinking. From this close, you could take in how he actually looked. In the attic, he was a lot scarier with pale eyes, skin, and hair. But now, in a normally lit room, you could see he wasn't actually pale, but had a rich caramel skin tone, and when light shone on his skin, it was like a gloss, making his skin look fairer and the shadows of his face that much darker.

He had freckles and beauty marks too which helped to ease the unsettling perfection. The one on his nose particularly adorable.

There was a freckle on his bottom lip too, which you've never seen before, but of course it drew attention to the fact his lips were full and plump. A pretty shade of natural pink that almost looked like he wore lip gloss.

A pink tongue quickly made it's appearance, darting out to wet his lips before disappearing again, his lips turning up into a smirk as your eyes snapped back to his.

He realized you were staring at his lips.

His serious expression gone and forgotten, his new one was mischievous and playful. Teasing. You couldn't help but laugh out of embarrassment.

“You sing better than Adele.”

“Do I?” His brows went sky high.

“Of course! I wouldn't mind falling asleep to your voice.” As the words were out of your mouth, you could already see the glint in his playful eyes, making you instantly regret your words. Biting your lip, you wanted to kick yourself.

“Oh? Does this mean you want to sleep with me?” His arms tugged you closer and he pulled you with him into a laying position, with you tucked firmly against his side, your leg over his hips.

Your face turned bright red as you squirmed, instantly awkward.

“I-I meant that you should r-record your singing s-sometime!” Stammering, you tried to move away from him, but he had you locked where he wanted you.

A deep throaty, hiccuping laugh erupted from him as he held you to him.

“Cuuuute!~” He swooned.

Pouting that you couldn't escape, you gave up before joining in his laughter.

He began to rub your arm, making you flinch as his hand brushed over one of the bite wounds.

His laughter died as fast as it started, and as you looked up at his once cheeky face, it was now completely solemn. Like a shift in personality.

Picking at the bandaging absentmindedly, he turned his head to the side. Which you were quickly figuring out was his habit when he thinks.

“Why did they treat you like this?” He muttered silently, more so asking himself. So you shrugged, not sure what to say to that.

Not like you knew either.

Sitting up, he moved you off of him. You thought he was about to leave, but instead he shocked you when his thick thighs were placed on either side of you, his ass making itself at home on your hips.

You thought he was back to playing at first until you looked up, questioningly at his face.

He was completely serious and focused on what he was doing, not meeting your eyes as he ripped off each bandage on your neck and arm and then finally the one on your shoulder as he spotted the corner of it peeking out from the neck of your dress.

“Taehyung?”

Instead of answering, his half lidded eyes met yours, his hand coming up to thoughtfully press his thumb to his fleshy bottom lip.

Seeming to make a decision, his thumb dragged over the plump flesh before his body lowered to yours.

Heart pounding, you tried to push back on his wide shoulders to no avail. He didn't even budge in the other direction.

“T-Taehyung?” You gasped, feeling his hot tongue press flat against your jugular.

You began to shiver with dread, gripping the material of his shirt at his shoulders as you squeezed your eyes closed. Was he going to bite?

But as his tongue leisurely lapped at the wound at your throat, your fear slowly turned into white hot embarrassment. Stinging your cheeks and ears hot and red.

“T-Tae..” You tried again, your body tensing up under his much larger one.

Your pleas fell on deaf ears however, as the slick, meaty appendage worked it's way to the bite on the side of your neck. His breath tickling and sending shivers down your skin.

You began to squirm again, so he put his massive palm over your mouth, more to hold your head still than to quiet you.

His lips dragged against your flesh as he lapped at it, making your stomach do backflips.

What's going on..? Why's he like this all of a sudden?

The boy was A to Z faster than you could keep up.

Finally the torment ceased.

But your relief was short lived as his fingers wrapped around your dress sleeve, ripping it open and attacking the bite mark on your shoulder with more licks.

You could feel his body shaking above yours like he was under some sort of strain, his breathing ragged.

Your face and ears were on fire, but you let your body relax a little. Fighting was futile and whatever he was doing, it seemed to have a purpose.

His hand removed from your mouth as he sat up a little, just enough to turn your upper body to the side so he could reach the bite on your arm. His ministrations slowing.

When he finally seemed satisfied he rolled off of you and onto his side, his big box grin back on his face. Though his breathing remained labored.

Giggling he patted your fiery cheek. “All better” He announced proudly.

“U-um.. Taehyung? What.. what was that?” You stammered, blinking furiously in confusion.

His long fingers cupped your neck where he licked, and his thumb brushed up against your throat.

Realizing there was no pain, you frowned and got up, looking for a mirror. As soon as you found one you peered into it, a gasp escaping your lips.

“T-they're gone!” You patted around your neck and shoulder, trying to find any semblance of the wounds you had been sporting, but they were nowhere to be found.

“I fixed you.” He giggled happily. Like it was his greatest achievement.

You laughed with a shakey breath. “You could have warned me you know.. But thank you. I appreciate it.”

“I don't know why they didn't do it. They could easily have fixed you. Why are they treating you this way?” He pondered.

“I don't know. Ask them that. Not me.”

The room became silent again.

Turning, you expected him to be pouting or still grinning, but you found his sharp stare locked onto your bare thighs.

Remembering you had a bite there, you quickly turned, putting your back toward the dresser you were standing next to.

“No” You simply stated, drawing his eyes back upward.

His grin returned. “I can fix it.”

“No. It's ok, really. I don't need that one fixed.” You couldn't help but laugh a little at his innocence.

“Stop being a baby! Come here.” He got up, prowling toward you.

Giggling you retreated from him, dodging his reaching hands as he chased you around the room. “Tae! Stop it! I don't need it!”

“It won't hurt!” He gasped for hair, chortling so hard he could barely stalk you.

Finally, he had you cornered by the door and wall. You put out your hands, trying to make him stop. “Cease and desist~” You said weakly, tears streaming from your eyes from laughing too hard.

He gulped for air as he leaned toward you, placing hands on the door and wall to trap you.

You both panted and giggled for a moment until he finally started to catch his breath.

“Now be a good girl and stay still.” He demanded, quickly pulling your arm to pin you up against the wall, stealing your breath by the suddenness of it. You could feel his big palm on your lower back, pressing you hard against the surface as he kneeled down, his other hand ripping off the bandage peeking out from under your skirt.

“T-Taehyung, I seriously d-don't need you to do this.” You attempted to wiggle out of his grip as you felt his hand pushing up the bottom of your dress up to the curve of your ass.

“You're awfully cheeky, you know that?” The way Namjoon's voice cracked into a higher pitch clued you in on how pissed he was, even before you felt his hand in your hair, pushing your face down onto the surface.

“Don't you dare disrespect my family!” He shouted directly into your ear, making you wince.

“Namjoon, calm down. We aren't children who can't handle being cursed at.” Jin was saying frantically from out of your view.

Things got quiet for a moment. Then you could practically feel Namjoon's smirk with the small 'humph' type chuckle that invaded your ear while he sat back, releasing you. His hand patting your head as it retreated from your hair.

“Ok ok.” All you could hear was Jin's sigh of relief, as the room fell completely silent.

Carefully sitting up, your eyes landed on Jin, who looked concerned but more relaxed. The ravenette choosing to finally take a seat next to Namjoon.

“Y/n, your soups getting cold.” He said, mildly. Namjoon echoing right after.

“Yeah, y/n. Your soups going to get cold. Why don't you eat? You wouldn't want to disrespect my friend Jin, now would you?” The taunting voice said from behind you.

Frowning at the bowl in front of you, you couldn't help but feel uneasy about his change in attitude.

The silver haired male, getting impatient, leaned over you, sliding the bowl closer, shoving the spoon into your hand, sitting back with a huff.

Looking around the room, everyone seemed either confused as well or nervous as they eyed you and Namjoon. The energy of the room tense and still, waiting for something to happen.

Jin landed a comforting hand on your shoulder, encouraging you. Your anxiety rising as you dipped the silverware into the semi-clear liquid, you held your breath as you scooped up rice and little chicken chunks. The scalding liquid burned your lips and tongue as you took the spoon into your mouth with trepidation.

Relief washed over you as you realized it really was just soup. Your starved belly growling for more, you went back for more and more. Quietly slurping on your soup while the others watched. Feeling the warmth spread through you.

Namjoon said something while you hummed with satisfaction, digging in for more. As you turned to look at him in question, you noted his pleasant smiled. Dimples and all.

“I'm sorry, what?” You swallowed.

“I said, how's your maggots?” The corners of his lips curled inwards into an impish grin.

Your brows furrowed, feeling a knot in your stomach as you turned your eyes to a pale Jin. “I-it's rice though..” You felt yourself saying, even as you looked back at your spoon, held above your bowl with little squirming larvae splashing around in the broth.

Screeching, you threw the spoon across the room as you gagged and covered your mouth. Nausea and horror washing over you like a ice bath. Bellows of laughter echoed through the room while you shuddered in revulsion. Two hands grabbed your shoulders, making you jump.

“I was joking~ it's only rice, y/n.” Namjoon chuckled in your ear.

“Yeah, see?” Hoseok grinned, picking up the bowl and drinking some of the soup before holding it out to you.

“W- But- I saw-” Stammering, you wracked your brain for any explanation. You were one hundred percent sure those were maggots on the spoon..

“You're tired. Maybe you should go rest.” He cooed, clapping your shoulder like a father to his child.

“Ah, speaking of rest. Where exactly is the little pretty sleeping?” Jimin questioned softly, leaning on Jungkook's legs in thought.

“Well, not in my room again.” Namjoon tutted, obviously still bitter.

When no one volunteered, the elder sighed in frustration.

“Ok, she will sleep with Jungkook.”

“That's too risky.” Countered Jin.

“I'll take her. She's mine anyways.” Jimin perked up.

“Oh, like that's any safer.” Jungkook scoffed, earning a glare from the blonde.

As they bickered amongst themselves, you slipped away down a hall you didn't see before, looking for a bathroom, your stomach still uneasy.

The hall was dark and cramped. It didn't look like this part of the house was used very often. Floorboards creaked under your feet. You could barely breath as musty air filled your lungs, making you want to cough. Following the path up some stairs, you jerked to the side, slamming into the other wall, your heart leaping out of your chest.

Continuing up the rickety wooden steps, you found yourself in a larger hall like area. On one side was large white french doors. The paint chipping and fading away to yellow. Out of curiosity, you tried the handles.

Locked.

With a disappointed huff, you were about to go back down, the dust beginning to choke you. When you heard the gentle tune of a music box.

Looking around, trying to find the source of the music, you found an attic door in the ceiling with a pull-down ladder.

Your gut feeling at seeing it was to avoid it at all costs. You've seen too many horror movies and the way this week is going, you expected nothing less than to be attacked the second you went up there.

However.. Curiosity is a bitch.

Cold sweat broke out on your goose-bump covered skin. A knot forming as you extended your arms, pulling the rope hanging down from the ladder. It was stuck. After a few hard tugs, it came crashing down, almost crushing you in the process, but falling back from the force thankfully saved you from being impaled. The legs of it just missing you as they stabbed into the floor.

Chewing your lip, you gripped the ladder with sweaty palms and climbed. The door above was easy to push open, gliding like it's consistently used.

Up here, the chime of the music box was much louder, but even more audible was the throaty hum of a male's voice. The intoxicating sound much deeper than that of any of the men in the house.

Climbing in as quietly as possible, you glanced around the cramped room. Mirrors everywhere, facing all directions. Reflecting one another. Creating an endless reflection of the surrounding area. The way it messed with your eyes, disturbing you. Like your brain couldn't wrap around what it was seeing.

The room was black, but there was a blue light aglow between the mirrors and on the ceiling. This place was overwhelmingly surreal. And haunting. Your skin crawled as your mind registered the humming stopped.

The music box kept going, but it was getting a lot slower, getting ready to come to a halt as the pins inside were reaching the end of their wound limit.

“E-e-excuse me..?” Your throat felt so tight.

You inched your way into the room, bumping into a mirror here or there. This room was like a fun house.

But there was no fun to be had here.

As you turned a corner in the maze of mirrors, you glimpsed a ghostly figure, quietly sitting on the floor, a music box sitting before them. The moonlight coming from the window next to him shined on his pale hair and skin, making him look ethereal. Inhuman.

His appearance invoked a strong sense of Uncanny Valley. A male too perfect in every feature, it makes you feel uneasy. In your mind, you know 'this is impossible', that knowledge alone wedging anxiety deep in your throat.

Unsettled, your muscles turned rigid in instinctive psychological panic. The flight response ingrained in every human brain, flaring up like a age old alarm signal.

His serene eyes appeared white from your position in the back of the room. His skin like that of a pearl. Soft and airbrushed in the pale light, making his dark lips that much more visible. His champagne hair long and in his face, bouncing light off of it like a reflector.

Is.. Is he dead? A ghost?

You felt claustrophobic, feeling the space tight around you. You couldn't take your eyes off the spectral young man, but he continued to stare at the now silent music box. His eyes empty and unblinking.

Somehow finding your feet again, you slowly began to retreat. Inching backwards.

Clack!

You covered your mouth to keep from screaming. The shock of backing into one of the mirrors causing your heart to leap out of your chest. Your stomach dropping.

Your eyes stayed locked on the motionless boy, eyes saucers in your skull. You held your breath. Waiting.

Slowly. As if time itself was slowing down, making every move lagged, his head turned. Your breath hitched as his pale eyes lifted from the music box.. Precisely to yours.

Something snapped in your mind. Your head felt clouded as you looked straight into his eyes. Almost like the room disappeared around you and all you could see was his intense frosted gaze.

An itch started on the back of your neck. His eyes still boring into yours. You twitched as another itch appeared on your side. Then another, and another. You went to scratch at your arm with the bandage. It was agonizing. You scratched and clawed at the bandage, not once looking away from the man before you.

Unable to take anymore, you jerked off the bandage and dragged your gaze away from his. The bite mark was dark purple, fading black in front of your eyes.

Peering harder, your gut lurched, horrified to see spindly little black legs jutting out from the teeth marks and dragging against your sallow tissue, soon revealing a eight-legged monster of an arachnid.

Too repulsed to make a sound, your mouth gaping to release the scream lodged in your throat, you smacked the creature away, watching it land on the grimy floor and twitch about. Turning to take in your image, you stood aghast as the gristly sight.

Spiders..

Eight-legged nightmares of different breeds scurrying around your skin. Every itch and shock of pain revealing another as they burrowed in and out of various orifices.

Ripping off your other bandages, you felt your legs go numb as you witnessed them beginning to crawl from there too. You cough and gagged. Eyes bugging at the newest revelation. Shaking your head, you choked, grabbing onto the edges of the mirror. Eyes watering.

A massive tarantula worked it's way from the depths of your throat as you observed through the mirror. Leisurely crawling down your chin.

A screech escaped your lungs. The force of your horror knocking you off your feet. Crawling backwards, away from the mirror, you thrashed about. Clawing and digging at the cuts and bites, creating more openings for the fiends. You wanted them out at all costs.

Get out! Get out! Get out! GET! OUT!

You heard noise erupt around you. Distant voices whispering to you. But you were too far gone. Their voices sounding like you were under water while you were trying to peel your own skin from your body.

You felt a sharp sting against your face amidst the ripping and tearing. Catatonic, your vague vision caught the ghostly male watching you curiously as your eyes rolled back into your head.

Swallowing down your hopes before they get too high, you explored the room. At first, you assumed it was themed specifically in an older style, but now you could see that it was almost like a collection of things from several time periods and cultures. Chinese fine china displayed next to a Walkman. A french vase filled with coins from all times and all countries by the look of it. Rapper bling necklaces wrapped around the artworks neck.

Raising a brow, you couldn't help but notice the 1950's pin-up calendar with scantily clad women, and the modern playboy one right next to it, hung up above a beautiful statuette of a Grecian woman.

“I'm sorely judging whoever’s room this is..” You grumbled.

You turned to take in the rest of the room, but instead of the weird collection aesthetic you were expecting, all you found were books and the bed. What must have been hundreds of books. Put away on shelves, all stacked on one-another. New ones and old ones alike. Some scrolls and some parchments.

Ok.. So the pervert likes reading.

You spot your dress and jacket you were wearing before, resting on one pile of books. The jacket was a goner for sure. Stiff and completely saturated with blood. But the dress was still mostly clean aside from the dirt and smell of alcohol from when you must have spilled on yourself.

Quickly sliding it on, you had to laugh to yourself. They even grabbed your heels that you thought you left behind.

Yeah, fuck that. You weren't about to try and sneak out and run for it in those things again.

Padding to the door, you softly pushed the handle until you heard the faintest click. After a brief silent moment, you peaked your head out, scanning the area.

It seemed like an ordinary house except.. More weirdly random decorations. As you made your way down the hall, you even spotted a pinball machine in another room. Next to work out equipment.

The house was dead silent, however. Giving no hint whether anyone was home. All that could be heard was your uneven breathing and the slight creak of a floorboard every now and then.

Taking the steps two at a time, you went downstairs and turned a corner, finding yourself  the kitchen, which you assumed was where they.. Where they fed from you.. Shuddering and feeling nauseated, you unconsciously scratched at your neck, continuing through the silent expanse.

You were just beginning to think you were home free once the front door was in view, but then you spotted a figure sitting in a chair just off to the side of the door. As if they were waiting for you to make a run for it. He just blinked, unsurprised.

“I was just-”

“So you are that stupid.” He simply stated. Entirely deadpan.

All you could do was gape your mouth like a fish before he was already in your face. Intense silver eyes staring a hole right through you.

“Where exactly did you think you could run to? From us?” The black haired male mocked. Clearly thinking little of you. Backing up against the door, you eyed him wearily, watching as he stuck his tongue into his cheek, annoyance clear in his piercing eyes.

His skin was soft perfection like the others, looking more like a painting than a person. His exotically almond eyes aglow with their silver coloring. Black hair standing out against the white. He was startlingly beautiful.

Like a black widow.

Reaching for the handle behind your back, you managed to slip out just as he reached for you, his fingertips brushing against your back.

In your head, you imagined a grand escape, running like a rabbit away from wolves. However, the reality was much different. More pitiful.

The bite on your thigh stung as your muscles worked, attempting to run down the porch and the stone paths, but more like hobbling. The getaway being made only more difficult once you ditched the path, running over rocks, pine needles and sticks with your bare feet.

You could just cry in frustration.

When you heard him approaching from behind, you began screaming, trying to call for help even though you couldn't see any other buildings in sight. Only forest and the lake.

“Shut it!” He snapped, just before you were bulldozed to the ground, a much larger body over yours, pinning you down, then picking you up off the dirt despite your thrashing, kicking and screaming.

“I got her, Yoongi.” The new stranger bit out as he tried to subdue you, carrying you back to the cabin they were holding you in.

“Oh, yeah. Looks like you have a real handle on it.” The shorter one with black hair, Yoongi, commented with sarcasm dripping from his tongue. But not arguing further, he walked ahead of the one carrying you, hands in pockets.

“Let me go!” You screeched, clawing his brawny arms.

“You should be grateful I caught you instead of Yoongi, you know. He wouldn't have held back.” He grunted, throwing you over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes, giving you the perfect opportunity to jab him in the ribs with your knees, earning a resound swat on your ass from his gigantic hand.

Yelping, you stilled. The stinging making you freeze up until you were inside, being thrown down on the floor of the living room with a loud -oof-

The one standing over you brushed his fingers through his soft brown hair while glaring down at you. His towering muscular figure intimidating you to the spot. He was young, but with masculine features. Looking like a jock or Calvin Klein model as he clenched his teeth, his cheek and jaw muscles flexing under the soft flesh.

“So you managed to catch the fish, hm?” Another gigantic male questioned, entering the room. This one, also with black hair, was more matured, his fair-skinned face statuesque.

What's with all of them looking like masterpieces? Why can't they be as hideous as they act! You briefly thought to yourself, looking between the two would-be models with disdain.

The taller, older male kneeled beside you, making you flinch as he reached for you. “Shh little one.” He murmured, plucking a stick from your hair. “Y/n, was it? I'm Jin.” He then gestured to the muscular one. “This is Jungkook.” When you didn't respond, the muscular one, Jungkook, huffed.

“We should get her back to Namjoon's room before the others see her out here.”

“You're right.” The one named Jin nodded in agreement before standing, then looked about for the 'others' they were so concerned about.

Jungkook held out his hand, clicking his tongue when you didn't take it. “Come with me, or you get fed to my friends.” He sighed, rolling his eyes.

Taking the offered hand, he had to pull you up himself because you were too weak, then you limped after him, anger seeping through your bones and frustrated tears forming in your eyes.

You were so close.

Or was I? Did the attempt even matter? Would I have been caught, even at my best? But you knew the answer. You remembered how the blonde angel toyed with you in the park. How he could be all around you all at once with no effort. Any normal escape attempt would just end up the same way. With you getting grabbed when they wanted to grab you.

Once you were back in that initial room, the brunette left you with a nod, locking the door behind him. As you heard the click of the lock trigger, you slid down the door, tears falling from your eyes.

You were tired and sore and bloodied with disappointment and fear wracking through you. All you wanted was to go home to your friend's house and put on your sweats, eat all the ice cream you could handle, and go back to when your ex was your only nightmare. Now, you were living in a real one.

You weren't sure how long you had been crying, but you must have passed out because you were jarred awake by the door suddenly pushing you over.

“What the-? I give you my bed for a day and sleep in the study on the sofa, and you just sleep on the floor? Seriously?” Namjoon complained, shaking his head before pulling you up to your feet.

Before you could mumble a reply, he began pulling you out of the room. “Let's go meet the boys.” He announced, dragging you, sputtering and pulling, all the way through the house to the living room, where he practically threw you to the floor.

As many times as you've been thrown at it, they might as well get this over with and make you a rug..

The one named Jin entered the room after you, a steaming bowl in his hands, carefully setting it on the coffee table. “Really, Namjoon..” He admonished silently, helping you sit up and ushered you to the bowl of what looked like, chicken and rice soup.

Glancing around the room, various familiar faces were scattered about. You felt like a fly caught in a web as all predatory eyes watched you curiously. Namjoon took a seat in the living-chair behind you, making the nerves on the back of your neck tingle.

“Since she'll be here with us for a while.. Assuming you don't kill her too quickly.” He paused, as if pointing stares. “We might as well get to know each other a little better.”

Jin nodded at you in greeting, a friendly smile on his face. “You know me and Jungkook already.” He gestured to the brunette who was sitting on the love seat, legs strewn over the blonde angel, playing on some portable game.

“We've met, but my name's Jimin, beautiful.” The blonde winked, leaning over the younger male's legs to send you a flirtatious smirk.

“Call me Suga.” The one they were calling 'Yoongi' muttered, half interested from another living-chair across the room.

Then, with a bright smile, the one who made your skin crawl slowly approached, squatting beside you, peering at your cringing face. “We met too, remember? Name's Hoseok.” He licked the corner of his lips as his sunshine smile faltered to a more sinister smirk, brushing his finger to his lips thoughtfully as his eyes landed on your lips.

“Then there's V, upstairs. He doesn't come out much.” Namjoon commented from behind.

When you didn't say anything, the silver fox's booted-foot landed squarely on your upper back, nudging you. “What do you say?”

Well, if you were going to die eventually..

Defiantly, you raised chin high and glared at each individual who was placed casually throughout the room.

Gripping your head, which was now pounding worse, you glanced about the room in fear, unsure of what was going on until your eyes landed on the blonde haired Angel from the club. Then it all came rushing back. “W-What.. I don't-” You stammered as tears rushed into your eyes. “Shhh~” The angel soothed, softly brushing his thumb against your cheek. You almost began to feel calm. Almost.

“Dibs” Someone said with a laugh, ripping you out of the other man's arms. “Yah! Hoseok!” The blonde yelled. “I'm the one that had to chase her around! I could have just not told you guys about her.”

He tried to reach for you, which tempted you to reach out your hand in return, but you were spun around instantly, on the other side of the one who grabbed you, but also now facing him.

With trepidation, you stared at the one who claimed 'dibs'. He was also quite handsome. Gentle black eyes that made you think of a cat's. A warm sunshine grin on his face. Black strands reaching to cover his eyes from view. The softness emanating from him almost gave you hope. But then.. there was no hope to be had in an abduction, was there?

His eyes turned mischievous and cold as he looked over you. Like he was assessing what to do with you first, before you were spun around once more, back pulled against his chest as he backed up and put you on display for the rest of the men in the room. You didn't get a chance to examine them however, because hard fingers clasped under your jaw, his middle finger forcing you to snap your head to the side, making you wince.

“I promise you will get a chance, Jiminie. But I want a taste first.” He breathed into your ear, sending shivers down your spine.

Taste?

A hot and wet sensation slid up the muscle of your neck, making you jerk in reaction, trying to escape his hold.

“S-stop! Please.. What are you trying to d-do to me?” His fingers were definitely bruising your jaw, but you wouldn't give in quietly.

“Stop wiggling or I'll rip your throat out.” The one holding you spoke. His harsh words softened by his almost caring tone.

You stilled, but only for a second before a tight, searing pain ripped into your carotid. You couldn't understand what was happening, but it knocked the air right out of you. The agonizing pulling sensation. The way his fingers were crushing your jaw. The fact the others in the room seemed to moan in response to whatever was happening. It was like you were frozen and had no choice but to suffer in silence and ignorance.

It didn't register until you were suddenly dipped in his arms, forced to look up at his now blood smeared face. A scream tore out of your chest with the weight of all your fear and pain behind it.

His smile looked more like a sneer as he leaned in and gave you the most horrifying kiss of your life. His acrid lips, wet with crimson, pressing hard into yours, prying them open with his tongue and feeding you your own blood.

You were dropped to the floor like a bag of trash, choking and gagging, trying to scream for help. You couldn't even see anymore as tears took over your eyes.

Someone popped their lips. “Thanks for the meal” He said jokingly. “Good job Jimin.” Were his final words before leaving the room.

Looking up pleadingly, you crawl your way back to the angel who quickly kneeled and pressed his hand reassuringly to your cheek, humming calming sounds to you.

“P-please..” You choked, splatters of blood landing on his beautiful fair skin.

His tongue crept out of his mouth, licking up a drop close to his lips as you sobbed. “You’ll be ok. I won't let you die.” He said gently. That's when you noticed his 4 sharp canines and his- now- silver eyes.

A last sob escaped your lips, your body quaking as he leaned in like a lover, pressing his scalding mouth to your jugular. Caressing, brushing. Gently suckling the blood that was trailing from your new wound and your lips. You almost sighed before you felt him sink his teeth into your flesh, a cry escaping you. He sucked hard at your neck, rocking you back and forth. Your face felt hot even as your body turned ice cold. You were in shock. Barely even registering any others moved in until you felt, not one or two, but three new sets of teeth break into your skin one after another.

Didn't take long before the world started to fade around you. No longer able to feel the stabbing pain or sucking sensations. No more fear. Just all encompassing darkness.

-Tick.. Tick.. Tick..-

What is that? You drearily wondered. Your lids refusing to open. Your body felt heavy and weak. Pains shooting here and there, pulling a whimper from your hoarse throat. The clicking stopped and shortly after you felt the surface you were resting on dip.

A bed? Your breathing shortened, turning into panicked gasps. You felt something press against your lips. Warm ceramic. A hot liquid rushed into your mouth, startling you at first until you tasted the bitter tea like liquid.

After a couple of struggling gulps, the mug was gone in an instant with a soft -clack- sound somewhere close by. A gentle hand began stroking your hair. You were almost convinced you were rescued somehow, but you knew better. Who would have or could have rescued you?

You tried to speak. Tried asking to be released, but all that came out was a croak before the hand disappeared, so you tried to peel your eyes open. In your blurry vision, you thought you saw someone, but with a blink, the room was completely empty. And you were alone once again.

The room was definitely old fashioned. Probably rococo or victorian with white, red and gold themes all over the place. You were in fact in a bed.

Your stiff, injured body stripped of your clothes and wrapped up in so many bandages you might as well have been a mummy. And considering what you believed to have happened, you were surprised you weren't one.

“Am I going crazy?” You muttered to no one in particular.

“No.” was all a deep voice simply said from the doorway as, yet another, handsome figure made his way into the room, closing the door behind him.

Jerking up, you winced as a new pain tore through you, but you pulled the covers to you nonetheless.

“Careful now, Y/N. They didn't go easy on you.” He tsked.

“How do you know my name?” Pinning him with a hard glare, you tried to ignore the last thing he just said.

“I took your ID.” He shrugged. “I'm Namjoon-”

“I didn't ask.” You interrupted.

“Ooh~ I'm surprised you have so much fight left in you. I honestly thought you were about to die.” His brows flicked up in a way that you couldn't decide if he was actually surprised, or if he was being snarky. “Maybe you shouldn't be so rude to the only reason you're alive right now.”

Snarky it is then.

“And why exactly am I alive?” You sneered, even though your quivering body was trying to give you away as he approached.

“Listen..” The man, Namjoon began, “What happened to you.. It's not personal.” His ringed fingers landed on your thigh through the duvet, languidly sliding up as he rounded the side of the bed, his silver hair falling into his eyes as he leaned in so you could hear him speaking softly. “We just.. Devour people like you.” The dimpled smile he gave was anything but friendly as he leered at you.

Swallowing the lump in your throat, you turned your head away, willing all this to be a nightmare.

“We’re demons, y/n.” The male continued, unaffected by your plight. “We need to eat too.”

“Then why am I alive? Kill me already!” You spat, clenching your shaking fists. Awaiting a death you were beginning to suspect wouldn’t come easily.

Standing up, the man pushed his slicked silver hair back into position, his laugh short lived. “Because why would a sheepherder kill his only lamb?” Clicking his tongue, like he was ashamed of you for not thinking of it, he took your chin, turning you back to face him again. “We’re going to get good use out of you first.”

Eyes widening, you jerked your head away, blinking away the new tears forming in your eyes. Heaving in short breaths, beating down the impending panic attack, you thought over the events. There had to be a clue, right? That this was a prank show or nightmare. Anything to tell you this wasn’t real, right?

But as you looked to the tall male who was watching you try to put things together, his head tilted, a small smile forming on his face, his eyes marbled to gold right before your eyes.

“Good night, y/n. Get some rest.” He laughed sarcastically, making his way out the door.

You glanced up at the stranger who just bought you a drink and was now leaning on the counter beside you. Resting on his forearms, one hand propping his head up on his hand as he eyed you with a small smirk playing at the corners of his lips. You couldn't decide if his eyes were half lidded naturally, or if he was seriously giving you bedroom eyes right now, but at the moment, you didn't care. Not when you had a literal angel looking at you like you were a gift sat down before him. Especially when you are definitely not used to men looking at you like that. His ashy blonde hair was styled neatly, his stray strands falling over his forehead as he tilted his head.

“I could let you stare at me all night, beautiful.. But I think I at least deserve a 'thank you' don't I?” He smiled the sweetest smile you have ever seen and gave a wink. “Oh..” You giggled drunkenly. “Thank you, angel.” You breathed, almost hypnotized, which of course, made him giggle with you.

The bartender placed your drink in front of your face, waking you up from your daze, making you blush. As you set about drinking it and trying to keep your eyes busy, the stranger languidly slid from the counter to take a seat on the other side of you. You barely noticed his movements until his hand came up and brushed a stray hair behind your ear. “Goodness.” He breathed. “You look so sad princess.” His comment sucked all the air out of you. Choking on your drink, instead of a reply you just coughed, not sure what to say. His eyes widened at your sudden outburst as he slid his hand down your back to gently pat it and rub it soothingly. “Sorry. Did I say something wrong?” “No no..” You waved off his worries, clearing your throat. “I just.. What makes you say that?”

So far, the most he's seen of you, you were drooling over him, so him suddenly pointing out how sad you looked made you wonder if you looked like a complete mess. “Your eyes.” He simply stated after a moment. “Excuse me?” “Your eyes. Just looking into them, they're telling me stories of pain. An ache so deep, it's pulling you in. Pulling you away from yourself and this world. You're drowning.” He spoke, lightly caressing his cold fingers against your cheek.

Something about this.. made you uneasy. The look in his eye as he unearthed your deepest feelings like they were dirty laundry left out for the world to see. The chill of his fingers against your cheek felt.. well.. cold. Not just physically. But like you were being touched by a statue trying to emote empathy. “U-um..” You swallowed. “I don't-”

Suddenly his beautiful laugh interrupted you as he stood. “Sorry princess. I didn't mean to shock you so much. Finish your drink. I need to make a phone call.” And with that he was disappearing into the crowd. Completely shaken, you did as you were told. Not because he told you, but because you really needed that alcohol in your system after that little exchange.

Minutes later, he returned just as you were standing to leave. A wave of vertigo almost knocked you off your feet but he was there at just the right moment to keep you from hitting the floor at a full horizontal. His perfect pale skin reflected the beaming lights that danced around him. His cologne filling your nose like a heady drug. You were starting to feel it again. That.. mesmerized feeling as his brown eyes stared into you. A smirk playing at the corner of his lips. “Let me take you home, beautiful..” He whispered, almost seeming to slowly lean in.. “N-no thank you.” You stuttered, pulling out of his arms and righting your outfit. “I mean, I can just take a taxi. I'm sobering up anyway.” You smiled reassuringly at him, but he just looked confused and almost.. interested? Like he wanted to see what else you would say or do. “Come on, princess. I can't just let you go out there alone like that. It's dangerous you know.” He smiled, stepping closer. “That's ok! Really. I'm ok. Thanks for the drink.” You couldn't figure out why you felt so panicked. He was being sweet and he made you feel beautiful, so why were you acting this way? Have I gone mad? You questioned yourself as you shuffled away, leaving him behind with his heavy stare on your back. Quickly exiting the booming club and trying to speed walk down the road in your very uncomfortable heels.

You weren't much of a high heels type of gal, but you thought dressing nice and going out to be hit on would make you feel attractive again. Now though? You regret ever putting the death machines on your poor abused feet.

The night air was frigid and dead silent as you made your way to the shortcut you always took to the bus station. Since you work on this side of town, you knew it well so you were confident once you came upon the tree-ridden hiking trail that once you go through, if you make a left on one of the viewing side paths, you have a straight shot back into town where your bus station was. But walking in heals on a dirt path wasn't exactly easy.

The gravel crunched under your unsteady heels as you quickened the pace. And it wasn't because of the chilly air nipping at your skin, either, no it was much worse. You know that self doubting feeling you get when you're body is paranoid and thinks you're being followed? That gut wrenching sensation of fight or flight? A shiver ran down your spine causing your breath to catch in your throat like a heavy lump, pulling your jacket tighter to yourself. Was that guy following you? Taking a quick glance over your shoulder, more for reassurance purposes than anything, to calm your nerves that are now tingling through your skin like static. After all, what would you have truly done if he really was behind you? Finding the moonlit path empty, nothing but trees stretching on for miles into the shadows and a few leaves tumbling across the path by a gust of wind, you sighed with relief but still felt the need to run. Seconds felt like hours. Why did this path seem to be longer than usual? You weren't lost, this was definitely the way.. but something is.. off? -Snap- Jerking around at the sound, your eyes scan the trees to no avail. It's pointless to when all you can see are shadows. "Probably just a squirrel," you whisper, lying to yourself to put on a brave front. Your body shivered again when you could have sworn you heard the faintest laughter carried by the wind. Was this just your mind playing tricks? Taking another step, this time with caution, and straining your ears to listen.

Another faint chuckle rang out against the night air, this time confirming your fears had been right. There was no wind this time, just a deafening silence and a echoing laughter somewhere in the distance just far enough to make out.

Taking off, sprinting down the dirt path you run as if your life is depending on it. And in this situation, well.. it might well be. Each panted breath stung from the air. Light ice crystals forming in your chest, tightening your heart. The laughter was getting closer now, but your body acted as if it wasn't moving. The path didn't shorten, and the distance you've ran seems like you didn't make it more than five feet from where you started. It was as though you're running in place. Louder and more eerily the laughter came, toying with you, darting from the left side of the path to the right, never knowing where it would ring out next. You could feel breathing on the back of your neck. Warm, sticky, making you hate the fact you decided to wear your hair up tonight.

Suddenly a growl resonated in your ear, deep enough you could feel it in your stomach and it was so startling you misjudged your footing and went down like a rock onto the ground. "What's wrong cutie? Don't like playing?" The voice came from everywhere. Whispered as if he was right beside you.. All around you.. Your head jerked to the right when a flash of silver hair darted behind a tree. Then twenty feet behind another tree within a split second. He was toying with you, and enjoying watching you tremble with fear.

Ignoring the pain from your bloody knees and hand, you kick off the heels, because fuck those things, and take off running again, only to get a couple of feet when your body smashed into a hard wall. Immediately recognizing it was in fact, that guy, you quickly turned on your heels to run in the opposite direction, only to run directly into him again.

What? Was all you thought as you slowly looked up into his eyes, your breath shaking with you as your body quivered. He looked as if he had been out for a pleasant walk. Calmly looking down at you with his gentle eyes and soft smile.

This isn't right.. Very slowly, afraid to find the answer, you turned your head. Your heart pounding in your ears as your eyes scanned the dark trees before reaching the path behind you. It was as you feared.

No one was behind you.

His hand snatched your jaw, whipping your attention back to his angelic features. “I want to play with you some more..” He tsked, a frown coming over his features. “But it's too cold out here for a lady.” His fingers dug into your skin before suddenly they were at your throat in a flash, completely cutting off your air supply.
