You looked up, everything looking very big all of a sudden. You blinked, wide-eyed you look around you. You couldn't remember how you got there or why everything was so... weird-looking. Enraptured by the way your environment looked, you didn't notice Seán rushing towards you. He didn't exactly know how you got there either, but he could clearly see something was different about you. You were sitting on the kitchen floor, looking around you like you hadn't ever seen his kitchen before, even though you were usually spending your weekends over at his place, so it shouldn't feel that alien to you. He had heard a 'thump' sound coming from the kitchen, so he had run to see if you had gotten hurt. You abruptly saw Seán and it startled you and suddenly you could feel waves of pain in the back of your head. You began tearing up, the pain now at the forefront of your mind, and your eyes became blurry from the water filling your eyes. Seán looked at you with furrowed brows, concerned with how you were reacting, before remembering the confession had made a few weeks before this particular day.
You had told him about something you indulged in when everything seemed to be too much; age regression. When he had reacted a little awkwardly to the confession, you explained to him that it wasn't something you were trying to push him to be a part of, but that you felt like he would understand, since he would deal with a lot of stress himself, having the job that he does. He told you that he didn't really know much about it but were willing to learn. The way your face lit up at his words had him chuckling softly, while you were sending him a paper or two about age regression. After reading it and looking online for a bit, he had a basic understanding of it and more understanding of why you decided to tell him.
And he was grateful you told him, specifically when in the situation at hand. He shushed you and lifted you to your feet. You seemed unsteady, so he let you lean on him before finding a stool to get you onto.
"Hey, little one, have you hurt yourself?" his accent was prominent and made your chest feel warm at his voice, instantly recognising it in your younger mindset. You nodded and placed your hand at the back of your head before wincing and removing it quickly, as it hurt even more when you touched it. "Don't worry, sweetheart, we'll find something cold to help it feel better."
After rushing around a bit to find all the things he needed, like an ice pack and a towel so the cold wouldn't hurt you, he brought everything into the living room, his plan being that he would bring you over to the couch so you could be comfortable while he'd make sure you were okay.
"Okay, everything's set up for you and me to be comfy in the couch, doesn't that sound good, little one?" he squatted down to look you in the eyes, as your head hung. You nodded but just looked at his hand when he offered it for you to grab when he had stood back up. Instead, you looked at him and reached your arms up for him.
He looked at you, confused for a second, before breaking out in a soft smile, bending down to let you hook your arms around his neck, lifting you up as he got a good grip on the back of your thighs to support you.
As he walks over to the couch, he confirms with himself how he wanted to sit the two of you down so that you would be easier to handle and take care of on the couch, so when you got to the couch, he just sat down with you on top of him, straddling him and head resting on his chest. He could barely reach the ice pack but when he got it, he made just to put it on your head gently. You whined at the cold and the hurt but he shushed you and ran his fingers through your hair, comforting you. You sighed contently and soon your breathing evened out, a sign of you going off into dream-land. Seán smiled down at you, easing up on the cold pack and checked the clock, reminding himself to wake you up in an hour, since he didn't know if you had a concussion from having hurt your head.
Not more than 35 minutes later, Gab walked through the front door, home from an appointment she had. She knew you were over and thought that you and Seán were watching a movie in the living room when she arrived since she didn't hear you yell and curse like you usually would when playing games, so she opted to be quiet as she moved further into the house.
To say she was shocked when she saw you laying on top of Seán on the living room couch was an understatement. She knew the two of you were close but not that close. She moved quietly over to you, noticing that you were asleep and Seán was holding a piece of cloth to your head. She placed a hand on top of her boyfriend's hair to get his attention and he looked back at her, pursing his lips as to ask for a hello kiss without words. She leaned down and kissed him, looking at you when leaning away from him again.
"Did something happen?" she asked, knowing that you usually weren't one to cuddle up like you were doing. Seán sighed and nodded, looking down at you and moved some hair out of your face.
"They hit their head and became very overwhelmed by the situation, I think. They just need some time." Gab smiled down at her wonderful boyfriend and kissed his forehead, simultaneously giving him her approval, even though she knew that he knew that she trusted him and to wish him luck. She definitely understood the adoration in his eyes as he looked at you; you had never looked this cute and innocent before.
Before she moved on to the bedroom to give the to of you some privacy, Seán grabbed her hand and whispered a quick 'I love you' to her. She smiled, kissed his hand and whispered the same back to him.
