Completely understandable….and commendable….trust me, I get it!

motel owners across the country are befuddled but charmed and more than a little fascinated by the tall young men who come storming into their lobbies at all hours of the night, one composed entirely of legs and hair and these chromatically-shifting animalistic eyes, the other brazen and loud and rough around the edges, sparking off each other like wildfire and smelling of dirt and gunsmoke and leather, impressive black car shining in the parking lot while they get their key and walk to the room with bodies pressed just a little too close for two men who asked for doubles

I keep imagining Dean [who was really little himself back then] picking a comic book and reading slowly since he just learned how to, and Sam listening to every word, with so much admiration and love for his big brother, and how this must’ve made Dean feel… How much having Sam by his side, even as a baby, was important for his survival as well.
