Teagan had been working hard to leave the past exactly where it was and move on into the future. She couldn’t let one mistake (albeit a pretty hurtful one) define her and she needed to find a good way to move on. Although probably drinking a lot at a New Year’s Eve party wasn’t the best idea to do just that. She was already two drinks in and she seriously doubted that she was going to be stopping anytime soon. All she wanted was to relax and have some fun. AS her new vodka cranberry arrived, she looked over at the person sitting next to her. “I don’t know about you, but I’m glad to leave this last year behind me,” she said, deciding to strike up a conversation. What was the worst that could happen?
Troy’s lips tugged into a smirk when the woman beside him started speaking to him. He had had his eye on her since she sat down- granted, his eyes were on everyone, but how blind would he have to be to not notice a girl this stunning sitting down beside him? “Is that right?” He spoke with a fairly strong Scottish accent, making no attempt to make himself sound more intelligible. “You got big hopes for 2021 to be better?” His year was already looking up, he thought as he quickly looked her up and down.
