It was my first experience being in a zine and it was really fun!

This comic was supposed to feel as canon as possible where the plot wasn't really about the date but more about how Petey feels like an outsider in their friend group. Like the feeling when your friend leaves you with their friends and yall have nothing in common to talk about.

Petey was going to leave through the bathroom window before lil Petey and Molly stop him. Of course Sarah brought them over to the same place where they're having dinner because in a Sarah vs LP and Molly you know who won.

After they tell Petey that even if you feel like you don't know them well just TALK and get to know them- You won't become friends by not talking!

Petey repeatedly tells them that it's complicated, he knew them for a year, he can't NOW ask what's their favorite color or whatever! "Adult relationships are hard to gain and maintain, there's rules to these things!"

And Molly and LP tell him he's just making things complicated, what rules say you can just talk to people? We talked to each other and thats how we become friends!

Luckily Petey has some time to mull over that while they fight their monster/villain of the week that just took the roof off.

By the end he talks to Chief and Nurse lady and actually starts to get to know them. Truly realizing that he WAS making things more complicated than it is.

I once saw a tik tok with a cute fact about dandelions and I immediately thought about the final scene the movie has sooo I did a drawing and a short comic about that with grace and petey :3
