people can offer advice that may seem helpful in the moment, but could quietly harm your journey in the long run. sometimes they’re genuinely trying to help you maneuver through situations, and I never try to deny that. but when I sit and truly break it down, I realize what they’re suggesting is often something that worked for them. not necessarily something meant for me. everyone speaks from their own experiences, wounds, survival methods, and understanding of the world. what saved one person could slowly disconnect another from who they truly are. that’s why I’ve learned that listening is important, but discernment is even more important. not every path is meant to be copied, and not every lesson belongs to you. I can appreciate guidance without surrendering my intuition. sometimes growth is knowing when to accept wisdom, and other times it’s recognizing when your spirit is asking you to walk a different direction entirely.
