One night, he dressed himself up as Entwistle. He had his hair trimmed for the occasion and sported a drooping, stick-on mustache, just like Entwistle’s. Bill Curbishley recalls, “John was shocked when he walked into the dressing room, couldn’t take it in really. Moon was such a great mimic that he had all of John’s idiosyncrasies off pat. Like the way John would hold his cigarette in between his thumb and forefinger.”

pete and roger’s books are so fun to read simultaneously because pete’s book will say “my first impression of roger daltrey was of him beating up a chinese boy” and then you go to roger’s book and he’s like “there wasn’t even a chinese boy in the entire school” or pete will be like “i loved john entwistle he was such a perfect and loving friend to me he was the only one who was there for me in school when everyone else wanted nothing to do with me and i can’t think back on anything to which i can fan embers of resentment i loved that man” and then roger’s like “john was kind of evil”
