As to why you’re the exception to the rule, maybe I’ll never know. I’m just choosing what feels right for a long time now. Seems like what my 14 year old brain knew finally caught up.
It didn’t work out before, but ever since, you’ve been like a good pair of glasses, making me see things clearly for what things are and not what they could be. I’ve always been thankful for that. So if it ever fizzle out again, I think I wouldn’t have the heart to stay mad at you. But I’ll definitely listen to the universe, that maybe it’s all we’ll ever be.
However, you’ve been my 4am prayers and 11:11 on slow nights for a while now. Here’s to hoping I am yours too, somehow. ~

Recently finished newly wed counselling with my husband (still surreal I get to call him that these days ^_^). It was a very eye-opening journey for both of us. I guess I wanted to write about it because I like to acknowledge that I've learned a lot about the traumas that my husband have been carrying. I kind of had some idea about it but hearing him admit them and see him vulnerable is another. It made me love him even more. And if only I could take the pain of it away, I would. On a positive note tho, I get to carry it with him now.
It's just beautiful that I get to go through this journey with him. Through all the high and lows, I'm going to make sure that I get to hold his hand. ❤️
