She smiles at his words, digging her knees into the sand as she sits up on the back of her calves. “Good, I’ll hold you to it.” Beth leans into his touch to her waist, moving to slowly sit on his lap while he speaks and draping her arms over his shoulders. “Who are you calling a ‘chicken’? I am very brave.” The witch pouts and settles herself into his lap. “Very.” 

Symondre helped her as she settled into his lap. He wasn’t expecting it 00 but it was a very welcomed surprised. his hands were placed on her sides as she sat there, taking in her sweet scent as she got intimately close. “Yeah? Prove it then. Let’s maybe go somewhere? It can be someplace new, or somewhere you dread going. Either way, i’ll make sure it’s fun for us,” he said with a shrug of his thick shoulders, then took another sip from his cup. “And you probably are brave for sitting in my lap like that. Who gave you permission, huh?” he joked.

"Picking one was difficult. But, I had to go with one of the few I have with Beth smiling. You think she was happy about who her date was, or happy they had caramel-chocolate cake on the dessert menu?"

Beth smiled at the change of expression to his face, he was adorable when she flirted with him and she could tell there was a bit of intrigue in there as well. His response made her chuckle softly as she moves a little closer to him, resting a hand on his thigh. “I’d prefer the whole thing.” Her free hand moves up to brush away the dark strands of hair from her face while he speaks. “You don’t have to bug me to get me to spend time with you.” The witch teases him with a small squeeze to his thigh. “That little contact? Do you say Snapchat because it takes pics and isn’t just words on a screen?”

Symondre usually tried to hide his expression, and yet Beth could usually parse through and figure out exactly what he was feeling -- or maybe even thinking. “I’ll have to keep that in mind,” he said with a smirk. To be fair, he didn’t actually think he annoyed her. Beth was probably annoyed by plenty of others wanting to spend time with her or get her attentions, and he doubted she treated them the same way she treated him. “Well, yeah. Not going to lie i prefer seeing your face, if given the choice,” the djinn said through a sly smile. Who wouldn’t feel that way though? His own hand, matching her soft touch, pressed against her hip. “Might be fun though. Going some place new, for the both of us. It’d be an adventure. But, if you’re too much of a chicken, that’s cool too I guess,” he playfully accused.

“I don’t know her too well. She’s very pretty though, I can’t deny that, even if our brief time of knowing her. She has a nice figure though, I like her curves. I don’t usually objectify people but you asked.”

“You say picky, I say high standards,” she countered as the night sky came alive with fireworks.  That would have typically been her cue to leave but she wasn’t so rude to simply walk away from the relative stranger.  Jude shuddered as the magic seemed to settle on her shoulders - “Damn, too late,” she sighed, regret coloring her tone as she emptied the contents of her cup into her mouth.  So much for being careful and making a quick exit before the shit hit the proverbial fan.  “I doubt it’s you or your tolerance.  These sorts of things seem to happen every time there is a holiday on the island.  I should have learned my lesson by now but here we are regardless.  Switching to my beverage will do you no favors, though, it’s strong enough to get any supernatural drunk if consumed quickly enough.  Jude, or Miss Jude if you’re one to prefer titles.”  

Symondre wasn’t exactly sure if he was annoying her, or if she was being playful. Maybe he was taking up some of her valuable time at the party. He took a sip from his cup, as he mulled through his thoughts. “Yeah? I’ve been here a few months now. I think there was one weird thing that happened. But, I don’t get out very much,” he half-joked. He actually enjoyed doing things at his home, working in his basement. It was probably better that way, not having to interfere with some of the shit that happens around here, depressing with how much shit the slaves catch here that literally no one could help. “I’ll just stick with Jude, if that’s alright with you. I’ve had enough of power-dynamics and superfluous titles. I dealt with that a long time ago. It’s bullshit, ” he said with a shrug. To be fair, with his enslavers they usually didn’t want him to speak at all. And ironically, now, he literally couldn’t shut up or filter any of his thoughts. “You been here a long time?” the djinn asked her.

"Yeah, I mean, there's a lot that is pretty hot about you. I think your smile is probably number one though. But I also like your petite frame, it's pretty cute, not going to lie."

“I know, I must have done something in a past life to deserve it.” She teases him back before a smirk begins to play on her lips. “Just the tip?” The witch adds with a unashamed glance down his bare torso. “Shame.” Once she hands the drink back, Beth leans back on her palms again and tilts her head up to the warm sun. “Why not now?” She asks him curiously, still sunbathing. “Not found a place you wanna go to yet?” The witch’s head turns to him slightly at his suggestion, a small smile on her lips. “Are you trying to get me all to yourself?” 

Beth’s smile, as usual, caused him to smile right back at her. Not everyone’s smile was as contagious as hers, most not even close. But when Beth uttered something that was overtly sexual, it caused a new expression on his face, a smile, mixed with surprise and curiosity. The djinn knew exactly what she meant, but it was one of the only times he could recall when she was  explicit with him like that. “I mean, if you want more, I’m good with that,” he fired back, unsure if he should be just as sexual as she was being. “Isn’t that obvious? I thought you knew that by this point, with how often I bug you -- I always am trying to get you to myself. Your either very popular, or I am really boring. Both could be true, too,” he said with a shrug, hoping she picked up on his sarcasm, trying to hide his smile. “It might be fun. I’m trying to figure out what I can trade for that. I’d probably settle for snap chatting with you while I’m on a plane though,” he joked.
