See this is a valid point, and one I’d almost be inclined to agree with (definitely would have at the start of the year) HOWEVER. I don’t think Kimi or George have given ANY indication of behaving this way. We’ve seen both of them angry throughout the season yes, but nothing close to this. Kimi is *not* Lewis Hamilton and George is an entirely different driver than Nico.

I don’t know. I think it’s a good point still but I also don’t think Toto gets to hide behind “oh this was so terrible back in the day” when at the end of the day he didn’t fire either of those drivers for this sort of behavior.

I’ve never been a fan but I’ve also never been a hater but to me this just stinks. I’m not even a George Russell fan. But you’d HAVE to be stupid not to read this as him threatening George. We all know Kimi Antonelli isn’t going to have a fierce rivalry with anybody I dare say nothing about him exactly reads fierce.

It all but screams admittance of favoritism, and if George does anything about it or says anything or seems unhappy or fights Kimi too fiercely on track or frankly even breathes wrong he’s getting dropped.

I know I’m batting at a hornets nest when I say this so please heed my tags. I don’t care enough about this to not use the block button liberally if I need to. But I’m so over Mercedes, Toto, and Kimi Antonelli. I think they’re probably cheating in a loose sense of the word, and sabotaging their second driver and their constructors chances by pure neglect if nothing else. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ferrari wins the constructors just out of their pure refusal to play the team game at all and I’ll laugh when it happens.

It’s getting so fucking bad that I wouldn’t be surprised to learn there’s money exchanging hands at this point. Genuinely making this sport feel weird and grimy and this is NOT the opinion I had of this team, these drivers, or Toto at the beginning of this year. I’ve TRIED to be optimistic but omfg I can’t do this anymore.

But I think the stewards and the FIA have made their biases VERY clear in the last few races. It’s either an intense Mercedes bias, or it’s just point blank racism.

Lewis is the only one I truly believe has a chance of stopping Antonelli from winning the championship, and regardless of how much I don’t care to see him win it personally, I think it’s getting awfully suspicious that every time Lewis breathes he’s getting slapped with penalties.
