Someone’s taking a joke a little too seriously. Whether I am or not is for you to decide, that’s if I let you move in here. However, there are worse people you could get stuck with, so. Tomorrow works for me, make it like 8:30 and it’ll be perfect. Considering train times and I’ll need to shower and stuff, make the place a little presentable. 

Oh, right. You’re one of the newbies that just moved in. Welcome to the blocks. Tell me new neighbor, if you got here then why are you already jumping ship to get a new apartment? Something wrong with the one you got? 

Well you’re the one who brought it up. I was just wondering if there were any hidden perks that came with this roommate thing, like you always putting the toilet seat down after you’re done, but I guess not. Sure, 8:30 works for me. 

Just saying, I’m basically the best roommate a person can ask for. Even better, that was a lot easier than I was expecting. Yes sure, come on up whenever you’re free and we can see if this is gonna work out. Apartment number 205. Just try not to make it between the hours of 4-7, or 4-10 on Fridays. Got work around then.

The best roommate? And why is that? You can’t just say that and not give some deets to back it up, dude. I could come over tomorrow evening at 8, if that’s okay. I’m sort of in a rush so the earlier the better. What kind of work do you do?

Well, it’s become official. I need a roommate. I can’t cut it on bills with the money I’m making in the coffee house. So, I’ll be hanging a flyer up in the main entrance, it’ll be pinned to the bulletin board. Spread the news around to people who are also looking for a roommate; your friends, your family, your weird cousin that still hasn’t left his mom’s basement. Tell them to call that number and we’ll go from there…. plus, you know, they get to live with yours truly. Which is basically a consolation prize. 

A consolation prize? Well aren’t you a great salesman. But you can save yourself the trouble of doing all of that, dude. I’m looking for a new apartment, and a new roommate. So, if it’s not a problem for whatever reason that I already live in the building then I would like to come over to check it out and discuss details. 

PM: No. You’re yelling at me about it now. You’re chastising me about it now. You’re not talking to me about it. I’m not twisting anything around. You said I’ve been acting like an inconsiderate asshole. Well, how so? By having too much sex? Oh yea, right, real inconsiderate on my end. He’s not a shithead. People just like to say things about him that aren’t true. He’s sweet, and nice, and none of what those people peg him as….. Outgrow people? So what are you saying?… Right, all I ever care about. Because me asking you your feelings on this when it was clear that you were upset is because I only care about myself. 

PM: Sure Lucas, whatever the fuck you say. I’m done talking to you. You only hear what you wanna hear and play the victim. Have a nice life with your shithead boyfriend while it lasts. 

PM: Because when something’s bothering you that’s what you should do, you should talk about it with people. They can’t just look at you and tell that something’s wrong. An inconsiderate asshole. Oh. I didn’t know trying to be happy made me an asshole… yea, I think you are. Considering all of this could have been solved if you just sat me down and talked to me about it… Right. Different now. Well what would you like me to do about that? Stop what I’m doing? End something that makes me happy? What would you like to do?

PM: I’m talking to you about it now, and what exactly are we accomplishing? You’re just twisting my words and turning it into being all about you and me not wanting you to be happy. The whole reason I didn’t say anything was because you were happy, and I didn’t wanna ruin it for you in any way, even though I think your boyfriend is a shithead. How much did you think about my happiness this month? Exactly. You think your behavior is completely fine and normal, and I don’t. It’s just not the same anymore, you’re not the same anymore.. maybe we’re both not the same anymore. People outgrow people, I guess... PM: Yes, of course they do. And if you brought this up earlier I would have tried to do things so you were more comfortable… I didn’t know I had to take your feelings into consideration when I got into a relationship. We won’t have sex there anymore then, so you won’t have to deal with it. Move? No! No, don’t move. We just got here, Syd, you can’t leave me on my own already…. Please… I’m sorry. We can spend more time together, you and me, just… I’m really sorry, don’t go anywhere.

PM: I don’t get why I need to bring up anything. Anyone could see that you’ve been an inconsiderate asshole lately. It’s like I don’t even know you anymore. Even though we’re living together, I don’t think I’ve felt any more distant from you… and the most fucked up thing is that we’ve only been here for a month.. Maybe I’m overreacting, I don’t know.. I just don’t feel comfortable anymore, or excited about being here… Everything is different now and it sucks…

Oh. Then I guess I can respect that. Although I would have really liked to hear what you had to say, you know, considering you’re my best friend and all. You’re thoughts and feelings come first in everything… I am doing that, yea. But if you think something’s wrong or off I won’t be upset with you saying so. You’re Sydney, you always look out for me, I know that. 

PM: Do they come first? Because it seems to me like you’re just doing what you want, without taking me into consideration at all. It doesn’t even occur to you to think about my feelings for even a second. Everything is about you and Aiden since the moment you met the guy, and our apartment turned into some kind of private sex club for you guys. I don’t even care anymore if this upsets you. I’m tired of it. Maybe it’s for the best if I just move.

I don’t know him that well, but he seems like the average fuckboy. I think anyone would be a fool to trust him. But I guess I’m one of the few people who thinks that, since he manages to talk anyone into anything. He’ll probably be a great scummy lawyer one day.

My opinion on that doesn’t matter, so I don’t know why you’re asking me that in the first place. If I were him I would slow down a bit, but I’m not him so..
