People need to be thanked. People need to be acknowledged every once in a while for the work they do, for existing and making this world a more interesting place.
Alright I'm going to back up here and start telling you why I'm even writing this entry in the first place. I've had a terrible year. From my 94 year-old grandma having to get surgically removed 64 stones that formed in her stomach, from which we didn't know if she was going to survive the surgery back in febuary, and having her hospitalized for 4 months, to my parents constantly fighting about hating each other so much, to my anxiety and stress of my first year of university and the death of my Dog, Rocco, this really hasn't been a good year for me. I'm not telling you these things for pity or just to complain about all around life. I'm not that sort of person. These types of things sometimes happens and we learn to live with them.
I'm just trying to state and give an idea on how hard this year has been, not just for me, but for a lot of friends of mine honestly.
But you know what, I'm still alive, I'm actually relatively healthy, just knocked down and a bit sad from time to time but overall good in general.
Which brings me to this entry and why i’m making it.
Please give thanks to those you love, and those who inspire you. Give meaning to the things they do, because when you're quiet, and you enjoy their stuff from far away, sometimes those people feel like what they do isn't good enough, or don't find reason in doing that thing that they love. Tell them how much you appreciate their actions. Sometimes even just for their presence, for BEING there. Thanks to those who leave good comments on your stuff. Thanks to those who critique you, and push you to do better.
Everybody needs a good push sometimes, and I feel like a good way to start the year would be to start by thanking everybody who has directly, or even indirectly helped me this year, so maybe I can help them next year. Between today and tomorrow I'll be thanking people left and right for the things they do, for the music they write, for the things they draw. Somehow I find inspiration in these people to keep going, and I wanna thank them for the things they do.
Cheesy I know but, hey, I'm a stupid cheesy kinda guy, and I just wanted people to give out a "Thank you for existing" once in a while. You know?
