Sword Crossed: A Knights Zine

Thank you all so much for the overwhelming support (300+ responses)! We'll be reviewing the results and introducing our mod team soon.

Our knights have been hard at work fighting deadlines—news might travel slowly from the battlefield, but this special sneak peek from check-in 1 made it home at last, safe and sound (and covered in only a little enemy blood)!

Gentlefolk of the land, hide your suits of armour! Page Artist @foslo has a weakness for plate armour and was put in the stocks when she was caught clanking out of the local armourer without paying.

We support women's rights AND wrongs. That's why we freed Writer @willfulabyss from the stocks—as far as we're concerned, she's not too darned feminist for the times and definitely not a "nuisance"!

Firmly grasping her pen in one hand and her favourite weapon the katar in the other is Page Artist @kimsokol! Kim's work balances embellished details with symbolism and striking poses to create beautiful art.

Championing the cause of the common people is Page Artist @mochiwei, who we rescued from the stocks after she booed the Duke for raising taxes during an unseasonable drought!

Page Artist Nikru was knighted for being a little above average at everything she does. Unfortunately that also includes being sentimental, which is what led her to be thrown in the stocks!

The classics are classic for a reason: Page Artist @riotb0nes's favourite weapon is a good sword. While he thinks they're basic, we think there's something special about them—and his art!

While tales are told of their prowess on the battlefield, all fall silent when Page Artist @arcane-gold sings their rendition of My Heart Will Go On! Their angelic voice pulled enough heartstrings to earn them a knighthood.

Page Artist @d-indy would need a castle's armoury to store all of her favourite weapons! We'll get her kitted out with a burgonet helmet and all the swords she could want before we send her on a quest.

Some crimes can never be forgiven, no matter how many hours you spend in the stocks. Luckily Page Artist M.E. Morgan's next quest will redeem them for their previous sin of asking for a bite of food after they said they weren't hungry!

When you can't beat them, join them—in holy matrimony! Page Artist @jongyiarts knew better than to fight the dragon and chose to marry it instead. She was later knighted for her bravery.

Get you a Page Artist who can slay on the battlefield and the tourney circuit! @pictheas's serving looks in his frogmouth helm for maximum protection during the joust, and in a hounskull bascinet for the battlefield!

Sometimes it's not what you know, but who. Page Artist @dreamu-draws was gifted a knighthood by her friends during a visit to an establishment called Medieval Times!

Spot artist @mortiscausa was knighted for her goodly service to her feline lord, whose piteous meows do haunt her waking hours. If only she could convince him that there is food already in thy bowl!

Merch Artist @pokkibon was knighted for their noble deeds: saving 500 kittens from trees and 300 fair ladies from burning buildings. We've heard rumours that these deeds are exaggerated, but their merch is so cute we're willing to look the other way!
