Curious how we can't be on the same team. I'm (and millions of others are) literally begging for change, and the fall of controlling few.... And we resort to these one line platitudes.

I believe in the need to get voted in (democracy), yes. What happens and how and who is elected FOR the party is another question. Mamdani did right in making a step towards a progressive future... Is it all the way perfectly, no, but we all know what perfection is the enemy of.

A hyperbolic example would be.. if Hitler was the name Marx used, we'd probably want to not call it Hitler. Or Elon, or Theil.... Or communism. It's just a name in my mind. We could "rebrand" and have more success.

That's exactly my point. Propaganda (of the west and post wwii) tainted the term. It's just a term, in my mind... and overturning sentiment is hard, so if we called it something else, we'd have better success in eliminating the struggle of the labor movement.

Well, same - proud Communist THEORIST.. But a few historical people fucked it up. Seems like a burden to overturn the bad slander history through it though.

I think we need to rebrand. Communist has too much baggage. Socialist too, but NYC may have proved me wrong there. Humanists? Humanityists? Sanity Party? People's Party?
