Wow. I just finished watching miss americana and I’m speechless. I have never felt more proud to call taylor my idol. The topics explored in this documentary are so incredibly important and I’m so proud of Taylor for speaking out about them. She opened up about her fears, struggles, pains and beliefs and let us see her in a completely different light. No walls up, no silence and no apologies. She let us into her thoughts and her mind with this documentary and I’ve never felt more connected to her. There were so many things she discussed and experienced that I relate to. It’s inspiring and comforting to know that someone as influential as her, experiences and feels the same things I do. Also, I just listened to only the young for the first time and it impacted me in such a huge way. I genuinely could not stop crying while listening to it because it’s just so real. Taylor doesn’t sugarcoat anything in the song. She talks about important issues that we face today, and states that no one else will help us, so we have to do it for ourselves. We need to fight against the injustice in the world and stand up for what we believe in. It’s just so inspiring and it’s a song that I’ll forever hold close to my heart. I’m so proud of taylor and I can’t wait to watch miss americana again and again.
