Iām kinda really proud of all the pure hard-work, sweat & man power I put into this, and it was really hard on my hands, so hereās a bunch of pictures of chunks of ice š We took both of the ice surfaces out at work. Over the last week I spent at least 15 hours just removing the ice build up from around the back of the rinks. Please note that the thickness of the ice here was up to a foot thick at points. There was carpets frozen into the ice, plywood & skate friendly mats. I also found a kitchen knife frozen in one chunk. Day by day, I chipped away at it by hand with an ice chip. Shovelled up all those ice chunks and wheeled them outside to melt come summertime. Iām so happy thatās over with! As anyone who knows me knows, I love my job. I work at a pretty cool place and Iām an arena attendant/facility worker. I have the immense pleasure of getting to drive the zamboni and also the joy of getting to put nets on their pegs before a game (thus allowing the goalies to get a good solid warmup and no need for them or a player to stop the pre game feeling/flow by needing to set the net). I work hard so other people can enjoy the great game of hockey, hopefully at least half as much as I do! I really do love my job. And man I miss hockey! #RinkRat #RinkLife #Hockey #GoaliesAreTheBest #GoaliesAreMyFavs #HockeyLover #HardworkAndPersistence #PuckTheVirus https://www.instagram.com/p/B-eCQnMhn51/?igshid=kvb7ktswt72a
