[upon hearing the voice, completely shocked, Angelica turns around in disbelief. With an unexpected, but appreciated steadiness in her voice, she offers her best attempt at a response] Vance, it’s been- god, it’s been awhile.

[drops down the few inches to the ground and slowly walks towards her, a shocked and confused expression on his face] Five years. What are uhh... what are you doing here?

[approaches the Academy, a cup of green tea in one hand, and a stack of papers given to her prior to her arrival in the other. With a small smile, she eagerly looks at the building] Don’t think I’ll mind calling this place “home” for awhile.

[lazily floats along the sidewalk about 4 inches from the ground, going nowhere in particular. Stops in his tracks when he hears a familiar voice, slowly turning his head] ... Angel?

You know, the more shit you talk the harder it’s going to be to get used to this place. Unless you just decide to up and leave.

I don't need to "get used to this place", I grew up around here and I hated it then too.

So you’re most definitely not a fan, any reason why, or are you just more of a “glass half empty” kind of man?

I just don't like New York.

Yeah, I have. I lived here for a year before moving to the Academy. Have you ever lived here?

Yup, I lived about an hour north of here until I was sixteen.

Really? Why’s that?

Well Arno- my father lives about an hour from here and I'd really like to not run into him.

Now tell me this, have you ever lived here before now?

Better New York than somewhere like Los Angeles though, don’t you think?

Honestly, I'd take LA over here any day. New York isn't my favorite place in the world.

Teenagers are simply in between their childhood and their adulthood phase. Simple. 

Remind me to take you to the mall during the weekend when it's filled with preteens then you'll understand what I mean.
