This assignment is to create a motion typographic poster on a typeface. We were asked to highlight the counters, special anatomical features, and also any specific glyph that we liked in that typeface.

Font for my motion poster is "Editorial New"

Editorial New is a classy serif typeface with sharp, high contrast strokes and clean, elegant details. It takes cues from classic editorial styles but feels fresh and modern. Thanks to its tall x-height and crisp serifs, it’s super readable and works beautifully for both big, bold headlines and longer body text.

For my motion poster, I highlighted key features of the typeface its accents, smooth curves, and well designed numbers to show the precision and beauty of its form. I also focused on its main qualities: modern yet classic, timeless, and sharp, which make Editorial New stand out in today’s typography.

This assignment was about writing the phrase- "Type mere karm aur dharm hai", alternating with brush lettering and calligraphy as a pledge to typography.

In this assignment, we were required to generate a list of ten random words and select five of them at random. The chosen words were Chop, Empty, Boring, Little & Hustle. Following this, we created expressive typography for each word, ultimately selecting one for further exploration. I chose the word ‘CHOP’ for my final project.

While I initially explored several concepts for my final project, I ultimately decided to focus solely on the word ‘chop’ to strictly follow the assignment guidelines. The four discarded ideas were visually interesting but did not fully meet the requirement to emphasize typographic manipulation over illustrative elements.

Later, we were asked to create the word in class using found objects. For ‘chop,’ I printed a sheet full of negative words, then cut out half of the word ‘chop’ from it, with the other half appearing shredded and falling apart. Using that as an image, we were then asked to design magazine layouts.

I added additional layout with just the expressive typography.

The brief for the assignment was to create a visual representation of ourselves using typography and using the colors white and black, while being given the prompts of -

My name is …And I am a graphic designer, I am from (city), I love wild animals, I love Himalayas, I hate this exercise.

For the first prompt, My name is …And I am a graphic designer, I tried to express myself, my nature of being extroverted at times and introverted when I need my own space.

For My name is … I am from (city), and I wanted to tried representing Chhattisgarh which has a lot of round, circular and puffed items in it's food, culture, art and crafts.

For My name is … I love wild animals, I tried incorporating dog paws as I love love LOVEEE DOGS!!!!

For My name is … I love Himalayas, I tried to show the mountains by using very angular and crisp typeface. The play of negative spaces depict snow covered Himalayan peaks.

For My name is … I hate this exercise, I showed the hatred by using angry scribbles, I also used my non dominant hand to write the phrase.
