She took his hand in a weak grip and shook it; this being the single moment in her school life that she made physical let alone verbal contact with any other student, besides the occasional shoulder bumps in the halls. Noticing the book in his hands she leaned over, not realizing how close she had actually gotten to him.

  Dorcas was a typical bookworm, easily excited with literature known and unknown to her, because of her studious interests her father had joked about her being the perfect Ravenclaw on several occasions.

  "I just finished reading a book on the history of cursed beasts, it was really wonderful." She could help but smile, it was an unusual feeling; wanting to continue a conversation with a stranger. Unusual but not bad.
