Ep 18:  Absence … not a big fan of the Mary plot line, just seems unnecessarily dramatic.

Why is Sam broken up about Nick?  Am I being overly callous?  I mean.  Nick was a terrible person, he recently killed many people.  But yes Sam is all boo-hoo, not to mention Mary’s reaction.  Cut to Dean’s overreaction to telling Cas he’s dead to him because Cas didn’t tell them there could’ve been something wrong with Jack.

Again.  He killed a snake.  Cas says that what Jack did wasn’t bad but the absence of good.  Alright?  I just wish it wasn’t a snake, maybe it could have been a mercy killing for someone with terminal cancer.  Something other than a snake.

 Ep 17: Game Night (sigh)  More Nick.  Boo.  I know logically that they needed this storyline for Jack but… couldn’t they find a different way to have Jack angst?  Or … something?

At this point in the season I’m so over Nick that this episode was kind of boring to me.  Mary begging Jack to stop seems counter productive - Nick is a bad man, deserves to die.  This is not an indication of Jack’s missing soul.  (So if they wanted to show that Jack was “off” killing Nick was not it - poor writing choices.  Set up something different so it fits the narrative better.

And maybe have Mary listen to Jack, give him space after telling Jack there’s something wrong with him?
