E1: Wheel of Fire A post apocalyptic story after a devastating flu runs rampant through the world and spotlights some characters trying to find their way back.

Jeevan, who definitely suffers from panic attacks finds himself carrying for a little girl named Kirsten who was part of the play he was watching when the lead man had a heart attack.  Kirsten was seemingly left alone and he escorts her home but that doesn’t go as planned and they end up spending 10K at a grocery store.  Why?  Because Jeevan’s sister called warning him the flue was going to decimate the world and was real - not sure how she knew that.  What made this different, why was she following the news so much?  She just sounded so definitive.  

The way Jeevan cares for Kirsten, barely knowing her, telling white lie to get her to stay with him, was so sweet.  And also (if there wasn’t an apocalypse coming) kind fo worrisome since this young girl went with a complete stranger.

The Christmas carole as a backdrop to the swarm of cars arriving at the hospital was disconcerting.  As was the plane crashing, I assume because the pilot was sick.  The call from the sister, expressing that she’s happy they’re together… was very sad.  I did appreciate that Frank did not argue with Jeevan (usually that happens when one character knows something and the other character doesn’t believe.)

Ep 15: 9:00PM

Al-Hashimi has seizures, the last one being a year before but she has had two today.  Her choices don’t seem great.  Robby mentioned disclosing this, I would have assumed she did to the hospital?  How could she not?  If she didn’t, that’s irresponsible and if she did, it was the hospital’s decision.

Abbot’s cheer for the night team, called Nightcrawlers  😆 And then immediately pivots to try and talk to Robby, who doesn’t take it well.  Doesn’t like his mental state to be shoved in his face; but Duke, one of the people seeing him, tries to get him a promise to come back. There’s even a comment Duke makes about being at the hospital more, so clearly he’s changed his mind about treatment.

The Abbott and Robby of it all.  I loved their scene, the way Abbott talked to him and the fact that Robby opened up to him.  It was honest, full of love.  The hug.  The way Abbott said he doesn’t want a call for being his emergency contact.  I want so much more of them.   💜 

A pregnant woman arrives and admits she hasn’t been to a doctor, she is having something called a ‘wild pregnancy’.  Which is crazy to think about and things south super fast.  Robby and Abbot do an emergency c-section; Robby calls in McKay but doesn’t tell her for several minutes.  Personal note: I’ve never seen a c-section, even though I’ve had two, I suppose I understand why the hubby patted my shoulder when he stood up to watch them pull the baby out.  It’s… a lot.  Women are amazing.  (Thank goodness the baby cried, I think it might have pushed Robby over the edge; Abbott is still staring after Robby though full of concern).

I love that Robby gave heart felt advice to Javadi, and she lit up with it.   He also tries to help Mohan and I think he started to repair that relationship.  Ahhh, look at Santos!  Asking King to go for a drink and karaoke (which she calls primal scream therapy) and they’re going to go together, I love it all.  

The firework scene was beautiful but really encompasses how people process things: sadness, joy, beauty, melancholy.
