Y'know what? Here's some dumb headcanons on why the bully trio's obsessed with breaking up couples
Raymond's dad is openly cheating on his mother. Every couple of months it's a new woman being paraded around their home, lavished with gifts and luxuries while his mother is treated with contempt and barely acknowledged, made out to be the other woman in her own marriage. And with him controlling most of the finances, she (nor the affair women) has no recourse against him. This has resulted in Raymond gaining a very twisted view on relationships as a whole while unfortunately absorbing some of his father's own, seeing his breakup schemes as exercises of control and attempting to validate his fucked up home dynamic - after all, if those couples can't survive that level of dysfunction with what he and the others dish out, then they clearly didn't really love each other. (And yes - Ray does have a few half sibs running around. Unlike Audrey though, M.Pugnant is far better at keeping the fruits of his dalliances under wraps.)
Loïc is a child of divorce. It's the normal story your hear; Daddy and Mommy fell in love, moved to the states to earn money and opportunities, and then had a cute baby and made a happy family - then Mommy gets into an emotional affair with a coworker that turned into a full blown one, which led to a messy divorce and two half sibs he sees every two months during visits. The only excuse he got for any of it was "she just wanted to make herself happy finally", and Loïc took that to heart in the worse way. Awkwardly enough, his breaking up couples is less revenge and more his own weird view of helping; like, they're going to break up/betray each other in the future anyways, he's just cutting out the middle man and speeding up the process so they can find the "happiness" they truly want.
Nelson, ironically, has the most stable family dynamic with his parents and sister, and has had a few relationships himself - dude just likes messing with people for the love of the game. Man read every single one of his parents' psychology book and "Top Ten Dating Tips" magazine so he can know exactly what to say and how to properly nudge a happy loving couple into a full break up meltdown, pretending to be a kind friend lending advice when it's really to ruin the relationship. There's no real rhyme or reason to his motives or methods, no trauma - it's just fun to him, watching once loving gazes turn hate-filled and bitter towards each other, and all by his hand.
super moe blast!!!!
kind of dont like but eeuh

Toph: "Listen, Aang! I'm the greatest earthbender in the world, and I'm not going to let you treat me like cracked porcelain!"
Aang: "Toph, calm down. But you're heavily pregnant, and you need your rest."
Toph: "Rest? I don't need a break! I need you to stop worrying about me every five seconds! I can take care of myself, and I can take care of this baby!"
Aang: "I know, I know. But you know I care about you and the baby."
Toph: "I know that, baldy. But if you don't stop nagging me, I'll bury you in the ground!"
Aang: "Okay, okay. I get what you mean."
Toph: "Great. Now, go get me some pickles and ice cream, before I change my mind."
Only Aang annoys Toph by worrying too much. 💚🧡
ruby will indeed end up hurting herself and also some ruby sketches

Gothic Heroine Book Cover
Another way to "fix" Peacock Miraculous, is just to throw away that whole "emotion" stuff, and make Peacock Miraculous ability to be just "you can have your own personal and custom-made 'weird monster'. Have fun."
Peacock!Marinette wants to have "horse-sized black cat with personality of Chat Noir"? She can.
Peacock!Chloe wants to have "Mr Cuddly as (essentially) Care Bear"? She can
ShadowMoth wants to have Moth-Scorpion hybrid that will serve as his mount, for sake of "aura farming"? He can
I mean, that's basically what the peacock is. The only sentimonster with a clear tie to Emotions was Feast and that's only if you consider hunger an emotion. If Emilie can make... whatever the hell she made and have that creation grow into a human with a full range of emotions, then the power has no limits. The peacock is god. It'll be interesting to see how Felix is used because of this issue. Is he going to come across as incompetent or is he just not going to get to be on screen much? Only time will tell! My bet is that he just won't show up much since he's an insta-win card. Just have Felix make a senti that senses miraculous or akumas and let it track down Lila. Or a senti that senses akumas, teleports to them, and captures them before they infect anything. Problem solved! Day saved!
For those who are still watching canon, I have to ask: did Felix get to do anything as Argos this season? I know he appears at the start of Revelator when the teenagers all willed themselves into adulthood, but that seems to be all we see of Argos. A brief skim of the wiki indicates Felix only got real screen time Yaksi Gozen and even then he's a civilian from start to finish. Kagami gets to transform in that episode, but Felix is incapacitated by a senticommand so he can't help. How interesting. I wonder why the writers did that? Could it be that Felix has an overpowered miraculous so the writers are actively keeping him out of the action?
I have no strong feelings re: Felix so I'm not upset that he's getting so little attention. I just think it's silly to give him a god-tier miraculous if you're not going let him use it. Like why did they even bother to "redeem" him? Just let him run off with the peacock never to be seen again OR let him stay a wild card who occasionally shows up to cause havoc in increasingly insane attempts to woo Kagami. Now that's a Feligami arc I'd actually enjoy! Much more fun than the mutual insta-love plot canon gave us.
Oh well, maybe Felix will get to do something useful with the peacock next season and there's still the season six final! Maybe he can do something there.
Could it be that Felix has a miraculous that is the physical manifestation of moral transgression, one which his using would undermine the only character motivation he has been given and be an act of hypocricy so wild that the writers would just prefer the audience not remember that too often?
(I too dream of the universe where Felix remained the unaffiliated and slightly unhinged mastermind who isn't on Team Ladybug but certainly isn't on the side of whoever is doing the supervillaining either unless there's something in it for him)
Banishing/incapacitating characters who are too powerful/competent seems to be the show's main MO as of forever ago (notice how Luka, Su Han, and Alix seems mostly MIA this recent season)
But honestly, the writers really kind of shot themselves in the foot by letting sentihumans be a casual thing - because when the peacock could just make monsters based off feelings, it was at least manageable (still broken AF, but manageable) enough that you could make excuses for why it was allowed on the field. But then they decided they wanted clout from the Senti!Adrien theorists and 4edgey5me crowd by adding in sentihumans and the Kingdom, and then further caused themselves problems by deciding to banish Felix to "no-longer relevant island" alongside Luka for having too much plot-relevant info (as they used him for all he's worth in subbing for Adrien during the the Agreste plot and taking Kagami off the table as a potential love interest), so now we have a hero character who can't be used/participate in the plot because they made him and his macguffin so OP that there's no genuine way to justify why neither is being used to immediately solve the main conflict
Astruc asked fans what topics they would like to see Miraculous address. One of the asks he responded to was someone asking if we would ever get to see Félix apologize for the bad things he had done so that he can earn forgiveness and a spot on the team.
Astruc responded that this happened off screen at the pool party in s5. When asked if we would see a flashback, the response was this isn’t important to the story or they would have shown it already. If they weren’t gonna show it before then there’s even less reason to now.
https://x.com/moxi1650/status/2062238371380912427?s=20
Why would he apologize at the pool party? Who is he apologizing to? He doesn't know 95% of those people at all.
Why would people want to see Felix apologize to Adrien/Marinette? Gee I wonder. It's called resolution.
The man has no concept of how narrative payoff works, none. It would have been great for all three of them to have that moment.
I think this tweet is just him making stuff up without thinking again then pretending it is profound as opposed to inane.
Well of course it happened off-screen - if the writers included that scene, then the audience would remember that Felix hadn't actually done anything to make up for giving Gabriel nearly all the keys to the kingdom (the other Miraculous and Adrien's Amoks) outside his dinky play and then went and hid until someone else (Marinette) cleaned up the mess he made and only came back to reap the benefits (new girlfriend and being permanent peacock holder).
So best to just say he apologized while we weren't looking and hope everyone just memoryholes all the crappy stuff he did and replace it with the crumbs of Fe//gami fluff they throw at them
I was feeling agitated and artblocked yesterday so I decided to give my brain a rest by watching TV and then the next thing I knew these were in front of me

So, I heard Chloe was trying to make a movie about her time as Queen Bee and sadness aside it has me imagining how that could be pretty fascinating in the hands of the right writer.
Cause like... Hear me out. Let's say she still wants to do the project and gets a deal with Netflix or whatever but they want it to be like a mini series, three or four one hour specials, it's not ideal but she'll take it. Audrey and Noe are semi checked out cause they think Netflix is lower tier and have Kingdom stuff to do and so mostly just poke in to make sure she's not fucking up too badly.
Moving on to Chloe herself, as previously noted Miraculous's story from her perspective is low key horrifying in terms of how often she was targeted for death, had things ripped away from her, was actively manipulated or generally just jerked around by people with way more power than her with zero context. & the thing is, even if she's not conciously aware of how fucked up some/all of that is, I could see her trying to recreate it for authenticity.
IE, her screwed up dynamic with Andre, her "Reconciliation" with Audrey, all that stuff but obviously to an outsider its like, "Hey that's fucked actually." Which has me imagining the Miracle Class reading a review of the Special from a critic who has consistently disdained Chloe's work expecting a good laugh and getting... Weird feelings.
Not necessarily huge self awareness, resolving all 'that' baggage is way more than can be done easily, but maybe a degree of 'Oh I may need to muse on this a bit' from it, thus review:
"I've made no secret of my disdain for Chloe Bourgeois's quick click film making style, too much flare, trying to compensate for a novice with too much to say and not the vocabulary to say it was a rejoinder I have stood by... Until now."
"I won't say her film making style has radically evolved, the production is still more garrish than suits my taste but beneath that flash is a surprisingly honest and achingly sincere story about a very troubled teen's struggle to find herself."
"Only for everything for the frankly warped way she was brought up, to woeful role models and failing adults and idols to send her careening off her unsteady rise to heroism and into self destruction at the hands of a villainous mastermind."
"In truth, I am unsure even Miss Bourgeois herself is wholly aware of how much of a tell all film this is, I spoke with the actor for one Andre Bourgeois who had this to say:"
"I actually asked us to stop filming several times to try and stress to Chloe that this was not normal and questioning if this dynamic with Andre was something she was exaggerating for drama." "She shrugged me off saying it was not only accurate but if anything watered down and having seen some of her other relationships on and off set I've no reason to doubt her. "Chloe's a lot of things, blunt foremost amongst them, but she's not a liar. I do wonder if she realizes just how much this film is saying about her childhood, heroes and especially her family."
"There you have it, I will be going into greater detail below the cut, but just know that for all my disagreements with Chloe Bourgeois from everything to fashion, to personality, I think this project demonstrates that there is much more to her than just the caricature of a rich girl she plays for the public and I hope we get to see more of this side of her, the real side of her, going forward."
Oh that could be fascinating actually!
i still cant sleep but now i have a comic idea stuck in my head so. take time travel chloe self hate. huzzah.
