When was the last time he'd awoken in such pain? Surely it hadn't been since he was a child. That couldn't have been the last time. Sidian didn't groan or shift, stir from the collapsed and curled position his large frame had taken after being beaten and thrown back into the cold cage he was to be kept in. If this wasn't some sort of test it was certainly something cruel and wrathful but Sidian couldn't believe this was all the work of one person. He had many enemies in the world, both by inheritance from his father and his own decisions. There weren't many, though, that could catch the earth witch off guard and that made Sidian suspect the man at the top of his long list of enemies; Matthias. It was probable the older witch was to blame but Sidian didn't remember much from the attack, flashes of images danced in his muddled brain as he tried to gather his thoughts before opening his eyes.
What Sidian did know was that this place was unlike any he'd ever known to exist, there was a mixture of strong magics that worked in sync with one another to bind his powers, strip the witch of his essence and strength. Though he could feel the cold ground beneath him Sidian couldn't reach out past it, feel into the earth and sense the roots of plants he was sure would aid him. An emptiness filled him instead, a weakness stilled the tall man, his body aching, branded and collared, secured for his strength was great if he were to ever break out of these magic bonds. Troubling more than his situation was the fact he really hadn't felt so helpless since childhood threatened to take him back to the time he was powerless against his father. But Sidian gritted his teeth and finally moved, long limbs stretching and pushing against the ground until he was sitting, heavy lids dragged open over tired dark eyes, a bruise touching more than the skin across his left jaw from the guards who had to beat him down before they branded him, the collar not enough to cut off his connection to the magic of earth.
When Kora hadn’t heard from her husband within 12 hours - nor sensed his familiar magic anywhere, she knew something was wrong. He hadn’t even left her many text messages at the very least on read. For hours she had paced the green house after her initial search of his favorite haunts. If she could find him nowhere else, she could always find him here with his plants. He wasn’t dead - that much she was certain of; he was far too powerful and stubborn to die. Nor would he up and leave without informing her. Not now, not after everything they had been through.
Glancing about the room as she twisted her wedding ring around her finger she noticed the plants too seemed to give off a sad, lifeless aura. It was as if they too had lost their connection to him. Making a quick decision, she went in search of Elec and answers.

High heels clicked loudly across the cold stone floors of the makeshift prison, filling Koras strides with more powerful purpose. It had taken her a little over a week to not only track down Sidians' location, but to build a plan to not only get in but get everyone involved out safely. Elec, who now hung along her neck like a necklace slithered anxiously across her skin the closer they came to the cell in question. She stroked her hand along his scales in an attempt to sooth the familiar as they made their way through the darkened corridors.
She wore the mask of an indifferent mistress, keeping her hardened gaze high as she passed others in similar and all too familiar positions as her husband. Right now she could do nothing but play her part.
"Are you sure you're interested in this one? He is dangerous and yet to be broken in properly." The guard that lead her spoke in a hushed tone as the witches cell came into view.
Kora's eyes flashed with a golden hue, allowing him to see the wolf just beneath her skin before replying, "If I were a man you wouldn't dare insult me with such a question. Now unlock his cell for me before I grow impatient." She had yet to fully look within the cell, fearing she would break down and ruin everything. The guard sprang into action quickly, unlocking the cell.
"Leave us."
