The more he progresses, the more he sees evidences of 'something is definitely off' about this guy, Palmer. he had another client, Mrs. March that disappeared all of the sudden last week and another one last month, another old lady that Palmer only visited her once, before she disappears forever. they family who hired him wanted to stay anonymous but they pay him well and so he decides not to pry about his own client's identify. the Middle Town is a small city, terrible weather and even more terrible people when he arrives. rents a hotel right in front of that photography studio just to have the man under his watch for few times.. you can't just go in stranger's territory and say hi without having something from them beforehand.. He did catch the subtle moves in Palmer's body, sweating, fiddling with his hands "mister, I don't know if you've read the news but people keep disappearing the next day they leave your place.. it's why I'm here asking question.." then offers a hand "detective John Vogelbaum, hope you got a beer somewhere in your back rooms, we're gonna have a little chat if that's fine with you?" the man's dressed in fine three pieces suit, what the hell is it?! Victorian styles?! he looks really sharp and dandy compared to John's lazy t shirt with jeans.
