love is so short, forgetting is so long

i wasn’t able to heal because i kept pretending i wasn’t hurt

i miss my friends that i pretend i don’t need

jaded, faded, looking almost gone

god knows what’s going on in that mind, you must be tired

picked up a couple new scars, prayed that wishes came true

it’s so wild how i hold on. i get crazy anxious every time i think about you. we used to talk every single day, never more than hours apart. now i get scared at the chance of seeing you. i get scared because it’s a constant reminder that you moved on and i didn’t. i should do the same but some days i still miss our good days.
