wish someone would’ve told me that all along emma’s personal journey was actually about her gradually learning to dress in softer, more feminine clothes, rarely speaking let alone voicing anger or discomfort, and marrying her boyfriend in an ultra-traditional white wedding gown in an episode following six weeks of radio silence in which she was given zero (0) speaking lines about herself or her family or friends, while her mother–who canonically would have raised her to be a pampered princess utterly unlike our emma in every respect, and only failed to do so because emma was abandoned for 28 years–looks on with misty eyes because emma is finally The Perfect Princess having her Perfect Straight Princess Wedding while all the more prickly aspects of her personality and appearance have been conveniently erased
