I’m helping my cousin create her Ancestors page...here’s a picture of my ‘Flapper’ mother just before she left Scotland for the states.

And there it is...five years later, five books, 1195+pages...all thanks to Tumbler and the ability to write on-going stories and share them with others.

The cover I illustrated for The Swan and Arrow, second edition. As I finished the last book in The Tales of Earden series I thought long and hard about changing the somewhat soft and romantic cover it originally had...this is closer to the spirit of the first book.

Swan of Gondor turned 5 today! My God it’s been five years...5 novels later...time to catch up!

Here’s my new book stand in our gallery...can’t wait to open on Memorial Day and start selling (It’s Open Studio Weekend in Vermont for artists and crafts people...does that mean writers too?) And by the way...the other books are all my sister-in-law’s! So proud of us both! Northman’s Daughter just won Best Regional Fiction at the Indie Book Awards. Meanwhile I’m polishing the fourth volume ( The Seer ) and starting to write the fifth. Hope everybody is well in the land of Tumblr!

who would have thought I’d be moving into my 5th novel...Tales of Earden continues apace. Finishing the second draft of ‘The Seer’ and beginning first draft of 5th volume, tentatively called ‘The Bee Hive’ because there are so many queen bees fighting for control of my little world. Will Jermaine get everything she wants? Even I don’t know yet!

Swan of Gondor turned 2 today! Still here, not on much...but working on the fourth book in the Tales of Earden series and I have a website/blog www.jcartermerwin.com and Tales of Earden page on Facebook! Love to you all...Tumblr got me going! 

Haven’t been on in a while...finished the third one and writing the fourth, also started a website www.jcartermerwin.com, retired from the animal shelter but still volunteering...hoping everyone I follow is in good health and I look forward to reading your posts!

Volume Two is out on Amazon, continuing the stories and characters of The Swan and Arrow and introducing Arius of the Black Mountains and his singularly talented buddy, “Monk”. Together they escape their unhappy lives at The Falconry and find much more adventure, love and treachery than they ever hoped for in the lands of Earden.

Here it is, the first in a series, not the picture I went with at the beginning for the cover but I found out I would have to buy the rights from an Australian museum for $400, too much for me. This is a painting by Zmurko and it is lost according to wikimedia so...since Tumblr started it all ( my novel writing, I mean and here I am working on number 4 and getting ready to publish number 1) I owe it to you all and especially to my dear Captain, warhornofgondor to let you see it first! Love to you all and know you are in my thoughts, keep writing, painting, singing, dancing and role-playing!
