Surprise! Hi everyone, I know I’ve been gone for a while, but I have some great news: that secret project I kept alluding to in my update posts has finally come to the point where I published it!

I’ve created a brand new mod that adds... 

Two fully-fleshed, romanceable NPCs 

New map areas 

A functional cafe shop

The characters’ names are Tabitha and Theo. There’s a whole lot more information about the mod on its Nexus page, so head to the link below if you want to learn more!

Hi there, I’m glad to hear you’re excited for it! It looks like you downloaded the XNB version of the mod rather than the Content Patcher version. The Content Patcher version is needed to work with SMAPI (and you’ll need Content Patcher along with it, of course). 

I also strongly recommend using the Content Patcher version over the XNB version because it’s definitely compatible with the 1.4 update, whereas the XNB version... hasn’t been updated in a while, so I’m not sure what problems it might cause with the new dialogue updates to the base game.

Hello everyone, it’s been quite a while! If you remember, I’ve been on hiatus due to my last semester of school going on. Well, I’m here to say that as of yesterday, I’m DONE! Now I’m just waiting on my grades to get posted, so here’s praying I passed all my classes...

I wanted to just pop in and assure you guys that I haven’t forgotten about this project and absolutely intend to keep working on it. However, I need to take a bit of a breather -- I’d like to actually play some video games rather than just make them, haha -- and focus on applying to jobs for the time being. (I can officially say I’m a professional game designer/writer! Just need someone to hire me now! :’D)

9/10/18:

Hi guys, I know it’s been a while. I haven’t forgotten about this mod at all, and as you can see I’ve finally published Harvey (yay)!! However, with that happy announcement comes a bittersweet one: I’m going to go on hiatus for the school year.

It’s my senior year of college, which means I not only need to ensure I pass all my classes at all costs, but I’m also officially job hunting for when I graduate. I’m going to be extremely busy.

This is a passion project, though, and there’s a small chance I could get some free time and be inspired to work on it from time to time, but there is no guarantees of that happening. Another factor in my decision to go on an official hiatus is that I haven’t been getting enough playtesters for the newer dialogue, so production has been at a bit of a standstill... 

That being said, I will still be on Tumblr and will be available to answer support questions on this blog if I should get them! Also, if there is anyone interested in translating the project into other languages, feel free to reach out to me.

Basically, this hiatus simply means I will not be creating any new dialogue for the year, and any updates I need to make for the project will be on the backburner for me.

I’m making a dialogue mod for Stardew Valley! When I first played the game, I loved it, but as an avid fan of romance-oriented games, I felt the romances were really lacking. So I’m adding extra super cute, fluffy, make-your-heart-go-doki-doki romance dialogue for every marriage candidate, heavily inspired by the Harvest Moon style of hearts dialogue.

Thus far, I’ve published Sebastian, Sam, Elliott, Alex, and, now, Harvey. I’m also currently looking for beta testers for Haley and Abigail. Please check out this blog for more info, especially if you’d be interested in helping me improve this mod before I officially publish it!

Hello, thank you for reaching out to me (and reminding me to post an update, aha)! I am indeed still working on this, but I had to take a break for a bit because my summer got pretty busy and hectic; I’m working a nearly full-time job, along with having a contract writing position with a game company and taking an online class... 

I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a while. Harvey is still ready to be published; I just need to find time to get screenshots of my dialogue appearing in-game. Or, if volunteers could supply me with those, that would be incredibly helpful (and would speed things up).

6/11/18:

Hey everyone, I finally got five playtesting forms for Harvey, so he’s ready to be published now! However, I do have some other work to do this week (I got a contract position to write for a game! :D), but once I’m done with it I’ll start the process for publishing Harvey. I estimate he’ll be published at some point this upcoming weekend.

Abigail is ready for testing! As always, I’m very excited at the prospect of getting more feedback on my writing. :)

Notes:

Abigail has two lines that change a little depending on the gender of your farmer (which is more than I normally put in). This is because I wanted to emphasize and expand upon her feelings/development in regards to gender roles, which is a topic mentioned in some of her vanilla lines.

Pierre was a little hard to write for because he’s kind of a strange character. I’m honestly not sure if he was meant to be likable or not, because he certainly has some lines/events that are questionable. I’ll be interested to see what people think of the lines I made for him.

No, these mods are purely dialogue additions and don’t alter anything in the game other than the dialogue.

I do use portrait mods myself, and they are visible in the photos on Nexus and Chucklefish. If you’re interested in the ones I use, here’s the list of them all:

The dialogue master sheet should have tabs at the bottom of it with all the characters. Just click on the character you’d like to see and their dialogue will show up!
