Made a Japanese-inspired village!
So I put in several residential houses – farmers and merchant. Then there is also an inn and a tavern. I also added a train track passing through, but I don't have a railroad crossing gate lol.
This map is inspired by several sims 4 build videos I watched in the past. Here are both of them if you want to give them a watch: 1 and 2.
This house doubles as a small, humble shop. Like, the window display on the right of the door feels like a shop display window to me xD . That's why I gave the area around it a lot of boxes, and they have a pickup truck too for getting supplies and making deliveries / selling their neighbor's crops out of the village. I also gave them a nice little backyard with a storage building. As a bonus, since there is a small child in their house, I added a koinobori (fish-shaped flags), which, from my limited amount of knowledge from reading Doraemon comics, symbolize the household's wishes for the child(ren) to grow up well.
A rice farmer's house. After tending the fields, they go back to their hobby of tending to bonsai plants and decorative plants. When they get tired of tending their fields, they can just rest on their open porch of the house. . There are a lot of wildlife who likes to visit this household. I wonder if the neighbor's chicken ever escapes and invades the rice paddy? Hopefully not!
The wheat farmer's house. Reaching success from the bountiful harvest of their prized wheat, they decided to raise chickens as an expansion of their farm. Their yellow farm cat keeps a close watch over the chicken coop area. If they need to make flour, they use the village mill on the northwest of the village.
.
Also I think this household is the most... modernized(?) in the village. With a modern-style Silo, a tractor, and a motorcycle (while other households usually have a bike)
The inn and the tavern / diner. Honestly, I still don't know if this gives the vibes of an inn or a community center sort of building.
The upper left is an orchard and garden of the community. There is also a mill for collective use, like in Fields of Mistria.

Nighttime view. There are fireflies! :D
