concepts for one of the early bug lines of svorz: cecava, cecoon, and ceclose
the first and third stages of one of the early mammal lines for svorz, reverse werewolf [wereman?] theme
normal -> normal/ice -> dark/ice
Cecava: The Eyespot PokemonÂ
Bug-type Intimidate | Psychic Surge
This plump caterpillar Pokemon is covered in little knobs that look almost like eyeballs. While not fully capable of seeing through them, it can collect data about its surroundings through them using psychic power.Â
Level 15 Â Â
Cecoon: The Eyespot PokemonÂ
Bug-type Levitate | Psychic Surge
After spinning its cocoon, Cecoon exhibits strange behavior. Instead of simply attaching to the underside of wherever it spun its protective casing, it ominously floats in place, facing the eyelike spots on its back towards any onlooker with frightening accuracy no matter the distance away. It stays in this form for quite a long time...Â
Level 40 | + Night Â
Ceclose: The Eyespot PokemonÂ
Bug/Psychic-type Pressure | Psychic Surge
The emergence of Ceclose has been said in the past to be a sign of impending doom. While not truly as dangerous as thought, it's still... eerie. Huge, unblinking eyes sit on its wings, always looking right at the observer. The eyes on its head are sealed shut, as is the mouth it once had as a Cecava.Â
Cecava: "cecropia", "larva" Cecoon: "cecropia", "cocoon" Ceclose: "cecropia", "eclosion"
The Cecava line has a 50/50 gender ratio.
Legling: The Long-Legged PokemonÂ
Bug-type Swarm | Long ReachÂ
A strange little Pokemon whose long legs dwarf the rest of its soft, squishy body. It hides in dark, moist spots close to the ground, such as the insides of rotten logs in marshy locales. While mostly feasting upon plant matter and algae, it would love to prey upon other small bug Pokemon-- if only it could fit its tiny little fangs around them!
Level 10Â
Tiphol: The Long-Legged Pokemon
Bug-type Swarm |Â Long Reach
While the rest of its body is nestled safely within a pupa, its ever-growing legs hang outside, making sure it stays out of harm's way. This also allows it to defend itself, unlike most other pupating Bug-type Pokemon, by lashing out with its gangly limbs at enemies.Â
Level 20 | + FemaleÂ
Skeater: The Long-Legged PokemonÂ
Bug/Fighting-type Swarm |Â Long Reach
Female Tiphol emerge from their pupa with long, powerful wings, and a fiery fighting spirit. It utilizes its strong legs to kick the daylights out of all who oppose it.Â
Level 20 | +Â MaleÂ
Skeller: The Long-Legged PokemonÂ
Bug/Dark-type Swarm | Long Reach
Male Tiphol emerge from their pupa with an extra pair of legs, primed for fast maneuvering. They return to their shadow-basking roots, utilizing ambush techniques to take down other arachnid Pokemon. Miscreants in the Alola region enjoy this Pokemon for its scrappy nature and skull-like cephalothorax.
Legling: "daddy long legs" + "spiderling" Tiphol: "tipulidae" [family of insects containing crane flies], "pholcidae" [family of arachnids containing cellar spiders] Skeater: "skeeter eater" Skeller: "skull" + "cellar"
The Legling line has a 50/50 gender ratio. Skeater is female-only. Skeller is male-only.

Velvit: The Clingy Pokemon
Grass-type Burr Fur | Rough Skin | Adaptability
A tiny, catlike Pokemon usually found in large clutches, clinging to either the undersides of foliage or the backs and bellies of their mothers.Â
Level 20 Â Â
Velkritty: The Prickly Pokemon
Grass-type Burr Fur | Rough Skin | Adaptability
A young feline Pokemon that's grown big enough to venture out of its clutch. Its fur can go from velvet-soft to needle-sharp in seconds with the raising of its hackles.Â
Level 40 Â | + Sunny Day in Desert / + Hail in SnowÂ
Barbato: The Thorned PokemonÂ
Hot Climate: Grass/Fire-type | Cold Climate: Grass/Ice-type Burr Fur | Rough Skin | Adaptability
Hot Climate: An ambush predator that disguises itself as a cluster of dried-out brambles before tangling its prey in its red-hot thorns. It carries its young on its body to keep them safe.Â
Cold Climate: An ambush predator that disguises itself as a cluster of fallen icicles before unleashing its ice-cold thorns on its prey. It carries its young on its body to keep them warm.Â
Burr Fur: Contact moves may cause the attacker to be given a status effect similar to holding a Sticky Barb.
Velvit: “velvet” + “kitten” Velkritty: “velvet” + “Velcro” + “kitty” Barbato: “barb” + “gato” [Spanish for “cat”], Barbados [solely for pun’s sake]
The Velvit line has a 50/50 gender ratio.
Hypnossum: The Spooked PokemonÂ
Live Form: Normal-type | "Dead" Form: Normal/Ghost-type Play Possum
A skittish marsupial Pokemon found commonly around the region, known for its cowardly tendency to pretend to be fainted before running away.Â
Level 30Â
Catatossum: The Immobile PokemonÂ
Half-Alive Form: Normal/Ghost-type | Half-Dead Form: Ghost-type CatatoniaÂ
A meek and frail Pokemon infamous for having almost no improvements over its previous evolution in terms of just about anything but speed. Trainers who choose to evolve their Hypnossum are seen as perseverant and naive.Â
Level 60 + Fainted
Thanossum: The Risen PokemonÂ
Ghost/Normal-type Tonic Immunity
A powerful and exceedingly rare Pokemon rumored to be capable of defying death itself. No longer content with choosing flight or freeze over fight when threatened, it instead invites its enemies to follow it into the afterlife.Â
Play Possum: When at 50% or less HP, this Pokemon will pretend to faint. In the wild, this ends the encounter. In captivity, it will switch out of combat. If brought back in, it changes to "Dead" Form. Catatonia: This Pokemon will enter combat with only half of its HP available. When depleted, it will faint... and then come back with 1 HP after changing into its "Half-Dead" Form with priority on all actions, including running away. Tonic Immunity: This Pokemon cannot be defeated in a single turn, nor can it be rendered unable to use attacks in any way. Its type cannot be changed, and its immunities cannot be bypassed.
Hypnossum: “hypnosis”, “opossum” Catatossum: “catatonia”, “opossum” Thanossum: “Thanatos”, “opossum”
The Hypnossum line has a 50/50 gender ratio.
Feusilsk: The Bubbling Pokemon
Water-type Torrent | Corrosion
Despite being a Water-type, Feusilsk is often confused to be Poison-type or even Fire-type due to its odd qualities. For instance, its back is covered in highly toxic, furlike scales composed of a flaky substance not unlike asbestos. Not only that, but it defends itself by sweating superheated oils that are capable of catching fire.
Level 16Â
Gesterdra: The Boiling Pokemon
Water/Steel-type Torrent | Corrosion
Resembling a slimy pangolin, Gesterdra's body is even more densely covered with furry scales. One can tell if a body of water has been made its home by the water being toxic and steamy. It feasts on the minerals and vapors coming from vents in basins in order to both nourish itself and intensify the noxious heat of its oil.
Level 36Â
Ferovestos: The Polluting Pokemon
Water/Steel-type Torrent | Corrosion
Many environmental disasters thought to be caused by oil spills have turned out to be the result of Ferovestos fighting with Dragalge over territory. Its excretions have become so thick and potent that its presence can repel all but the hardiest Pokemon from entire seas. Before learning of the horrible effects inhaling its scales had on one's health, humans used to utilize their pelts for fireproofing. Some areas require those training Ferovestos to have a Galarian Weezing with them at all times.
Feusilsk: "das Feuer" [German for "fire"], "basilisk" Gesterdra: "das Gestern" [German for "star"], "salamandra" [genus/species of the fire salamander] Ferovestos: "urodela" [order containing salamanders], Vesta [goddess of the hearth], "asbestos", "squamiferum" [species of the scaly-foot snail], "ferro" [Latin for "iron"]
The Feusilsk line has the usual starter Pokemon gender ratio.
Felsver: The Tunneling PokemonÂ
Fire-type Blaze | Rock Head Â
A tiny (only a few inches tall!), yet industrious Pokemon with incredible skill at digging intricate tunnel systems, and a great nose for precious minerals. They use the incredibly tough horns jutting off their noses to bore through even solid concrete in just a few headbutts.Â
Level 16Â
Rhinome: The Working Pokemon
Fire/Fighting-type Blaze | Rock Head  Â
Still barely a foot tall, Rhinome's might and determination seems to have increased all but exponentially since evolving. It loves to work with those that do demolition and mining, constantly testing and honing the strength of its nose by finding harder and harder things to crack open with it.Â
Level 36Â
Albergaz: The Pulverizing PokemonÂ
Fire/Fighting-Type Blaze | Rock Head Â
Albergaz is barely as tall as the average toddler, and yet stronger than a wrecking ball! Its horn has grown to proportionally ridiculous size, and can cleave through industrial steel with a single drop of the head. Some trainers raise teams of Albergaz specifically to rent them out to those wanting to use something other than gas-guzzling big rigs on large scale projects. It’s a little too trigger-happy when it comes to crushing things with its horn, though...
Felsver: "zwerg" [German for "dwarf"], Feldberg [highest mountain in Black Forest range], "feldspar"Â Rhinome: Rhine [river that runs through Germany], "rhino" [as in "nose"], "gnome" Albergaz: "dwergaz" [Proto-Germanic for "dwarf"], "der Berg" [German for "mountain"], Alberich [heroic dwarf from German epics], Feldberg [see Felsver]
The Felsver line has the usual starter gender ratio.
Fruette: The Bashful Pokemon
Grass-type Overgrow |Â Oblivious
A shy little thing with droopy ivy covering its face. Unlike most other Pokemon, it's completely unable to vocalize. When found in the wild, it will frantically search for an Applin to present to any trainers that show interest in catching it, thought to have inspired the tradition of Galarian people offering the small Dragon-type to their lover as a show of affection.
Level 16Â
Veidinée: The Infatuated Pokemon
Grass/Fairy-type Overgrow |Â Cute Charm
An incredibly lovey-dovey Pokemon that fawns and obsesses over its trainer. Still incapable of producing any sound, it will instead try to communicate by growing blossoms on its vines similar to those seen in symbolic bouquets. Researchers are endlessly fascinated with it-- especially since its hidden ability is different than before!
Level 36
Lorelienne: The Codependent Pokemon
Grass/Fairy-type Overgrow | Tangling Hair
A Pokemon infamous for being hard to train in terms of establishing healthy boundaries between itself and its trainer. When not carefully raised, it becomes clingy and even jealous towards the human(s) it's bonded with. In the worst possible cases, it's strangled its beloved to death with its hair to ensure no one takes them away from it.
Fruette: "Den lille havfrue" [original German version of The Little Mermaid], "fruit", -ette Veidinée: "die Weide" [German for "willow"], "undine", -ée Lorelienne: "Lorelei" [German siren], -ienne The Fruette line is genderless.
