“There are still parties and whatnot. I just don’t get invited to a lot of them. I’m more of a homebody even though I work at the store and see people on a regular basis. But because of where I work,” Hwanghon looks over at her friend, shrugging. “You’re one of the few people who isn’t freaked out by it and actually asks me to do things.”
“We can carve pumpkins if you want. Or even dress up and go see a scary movie. They’re playing the entire Nightmare on Elm Street series at the little mom and pop theater underneath the convenience store on the edge of town. I know that area looks a little weird, but they’re really nice. It feels like you’re watching a movie at home as opposed to a big commercial theater.”
-` “i like spooky things,” she says with a grin, leaning over to gently bump her shoulder against her friend’s in a lighthearted manner. “that’s why halloween is my favorite holiday besides christmas, and why i really like your shop! there’s a lot of cool things there and the candles always smell really nice. it’s like... halloween all year round.”
“oh! nightmare on elm street!” sophia’s eyes light up at the mention of going to see a scary movie. “we should definitely go! we can dress up in cute and sexy costumes and claim the city as ours!” she lets out a laugh. “or at least, we can claim the movie theater.”
