many thoughts about my portrayal of alina because as we all know i enjoy journeys of finding identity and especially when the "finding" is actually misplaced and it leads to the true prospect of reaching it, but i wholeheartedly want to go into the loss of her sun summoning because they were always more of a burden than a gift, they never really made her whole but created this hole that cannot seem to be filled and it was still a very important part of her, especially in the third shadow and bone book where you can literally sense how ghastly she is because of how power hungry she's become <3 sort of her life being divided, one for the expectancy for the grisha and the other a liberation of herself and this very salvation is perceived as insanity
