lemon on the tongue;

i started university this september and, after moving to alberta, i’ve noticed that different activities and juggling new friendships between all this homework is preventing me from spending so much time scrolling through here. 

i’m sure a lot of people on here can make all these things work for them with tumblr on the side, but i literally have almost forgotten about this site over the past few months (it’s almost a chore to have to queue things all the time now) 

and, while i love p much everything about this place, i consider this a good thing for myself! i’m starting a new chapter of my life, and this means cutting out some of the things that distracted me so much before, so that i can find new goals and focus on them

i’ve also realized, after spending so much time outside of this ‘tumblr bubble’ so-to-say, that a lot of the people here can be quite aggressive. not that i didn’t already  know that, but i learned there needs to be a balance between ethical defense and social etiquette and a mix of other things. one can’t simply insist on one thing and not make exceptions or not take the situation into account for certain things that happen because sometimes one has to let things happen as they may. situations are often delicate and people are complicated. there has to be a push and a pull on both sides. 

that being said, this isn’t applicable anywhere. people do have their morals straight most of the time, this is just something i’ve learned and i’ve seen examples of aggression and wrongly placed anger and frustration on this site too often to say this isn’t an issue here. 

one word: chill

some kids just don’t know, guys!! there’s no reason for you to be rude about anything unless they started disrespecting you first
