My own personal belief isthat Camille O’Connell is not going to die this season. I have justified thatbelief with numerous reasons but never have I tried to force my opinion uponother people; I have merely spoken my mind. That being said, if you come to mesaying something in the lines of “Cami is going to die you’ll see”, I don’tthink you’re really asking me to comment on anything, and therefore I will notanswer. I do not presume to have the necessary proof to tell you you’re wrongyet, nor will I change my belief because our opinions don’t match. If you aregoing to send me an ask with no validation or justification about a death Idon’t believe will happen, then I am kindly informing you there will be noanswer to that ask. However, if you act like this classy Anon and send me anask stating actual, viable reasons why you believe this death will happen, Iwill be glad to discuss it with you in a civilized manner. That’s a pattern I hadnever really noticed, so thanks for bringing it to my attention. I agree withyou that there is no reason why they should break the trend this season and itwould make sense that a death would occur on 3x19 since it’s the first episodeairing during May Sweeps and it would be a shocking plot-twist that would keepthe audience interested. However, I don’t think that could be Camille. Ofcourse her death would propel the story forward, but it would end her ownstoryline permanently and I think there is a lot more to be dealt withregarding her character. Besides, other deaths could equally propel the storyforward, such as Davina’s. She is one of the Mikaelsons’s greatest love,Marcel’s little sister, Cami’s friend and we’ve seen her and Hayley bond thisseason. Furthermore, Davina can actually come back whereas Cami’s death wouldbe impossible to reverse.

Finally, let me show youthe synopsis for 1x19 and 2x19, the episodes of Kieran and Aiden’s death,respectively:

1x19 Synopsis: “THEBREAKING POINT — Desperate to help Kieran (guest star Todd Stashwick), Cami (LeahPipes) insists on an unconventional treatment, but her good intentions leadKieran to a violent episode. After Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (DanielGillies) disagree over the best way to handle the Crescent Wolves, Elijah makesa trip to the bayou, where he is witness to a horrific explosion that only addsto the hatred and mistrust among the communities. While Jackson (guest starNathan Parsons) and Elijah work to save the wounded, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin)learns a surprising piece of her family history from Marcel (Charles MichaelDavis).”

The only reference toFather Kieran is that he will have a “violent episode”. Not a single wordthat points towards his death: no one saw it coming.

2x19 Synopsis: “WAYWARDWAYS – Setting the stage for a bloody showdown, Dahlia (guest starClaudia Black) gives Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) adeadline to turn over baby Hope.Elijah (Daniel Gillies) attempts to convince Klaus that they need to worktogether in their fight against Dahlia, but Klaus forges ahead with his owndangerous plan, leaving everyone concerned about his next steps. Meanwhile,when Hayley realizes their chances of outrunning Dahlia are slim, she devises arisky plan and enlists Aiden’s, guest star Colin Woodell, help. Elsewhere,Freya (guest star Riley Voelkel) gives Rebekah (guest star MaisieRichardson-Sellers) and Elijah an ultimatum, and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis)strategizes on how best to deal with Klaus’ erratic behavior. The only reference to Aidenis Hayley seeking for his help, not even something related to Dahlia or thefact that she might use him as a part of her plan. Not a single word thatpoints towards his death: no one saw it coming.

So here is a slight montage of reactions I had while reading the synopsis for 3x19. I swear it was a Feelings R’ Us up in this snvbjso. I’m hoping you all can relate, because damn. (Warning: excessive gif usage. sorry not sorry).

1) Objective/Purpose: Cami hasn’t fulfilled the reason why she turned- to help those who can’t help themselves. Basically helping the humans.

2) Self-Discovery: She has come to terms with being a vampire but she haven’t learned to live as a vampire and embrace being immortal. She’s kinda just going with the flow. She haven’t had her “Aha! Moment” yet.

3) Justice: The inevitable showdown with Aurora. She has unfulfilled business with Aurora. Remember Cami came to NOLA to find out about her brother. But JUSTICE was taken away from her when Elijah killed Agnes and Klaus having a hand on it. Now Cami is seeking vigilante justice for Aurora murdering her.

4) Absolution: She is part of Klaus’ redemption and though a vampire now she’s still the human link to the show. We may also say that Cami herself is searching for redemption and forgiveness. No 3 is a big part of this.

5) Reconciliation: Yap ladies and gents, last time our ship left the stone unturned, things unsaid, and love unfulfilled. Klamille love confession from both side is in order.

6) Consummation: I’m going to say this straight up- S E X! For those prudes out there, no insult but come on! Making love is a big part of any relationship and Klamille has yet to share the marital bed ;)

7) Commitment and Cohabitation: Look we all know Klaus is the last guy to actually be in a healthy, normal relationship. The guy is a walking magnet for everything chaotic. HE IS CHAOS! But it would be fun to see the bastard try a hand in modern courtship. 😂

And last but not least……

8) Season 4: The show just got renewed. They are on tightrope with the ratings. They need all the viewers they can get. Killing off half of the population would be foolish. And besides death is never definite in a supernatural show.

For now, let’s take a breather. It won’t always be milk and honey with our ship. In fact I’m looking forward to the angst because the reconciliation will just sink my shipper heart into a sea of emotions. Plus that title “No More Heartbreaks” 😭

At least Cami didn’t marry a Jackson! 😂 No offense to Haylijah shipper, but that wedding pretty much put into a screeching halt to Haylijah. They’re another ship that is in the healing and getting to know process too.

There have been a few fairly ridiculous rumors lately about how Cami is going to die this season, and yet I’ve seen some people in the fandom actually get worked up about it. Therefore, I decided to write a post with all of the main reasons why there is no way Camille O’Connell is getting written off the show at this point or even later on.

I sincerely hope this helps soothe your pretty little minds. Our girl is fine, fandom. Let’s all take a deep breath and let that sink in.

My The Originals 3x14 review will be up by tonight or Monday night, tops. However, since I don’t write reviews on TVD and am not considering doing so anytime soon because that show is a goddamn unsolvable mess, but still wanted to share some thoughts on the Klaus/Caroline/Stefan dynamics, I am writing this.

There are three fundamental, basic assertions which you have to understand and get your head around before you are ready to fully comprehend the depth of those scenes.

1. Klaus Mikaelson will always care for Caroline Forbes.

2. Klaus Mikaelson is not in love with Caroline Forbes.

3. Klaus Mikaelson’s greatest loves are his family and Camille O’Connell.

Now that this has been stated, we are ready to start digging into the relationships. Please keep those three guidelines in your head as we move forward, because I honestly believe they are the key to interpreting the writers’ view in the way they wanted you to.

I think TVD did a good job with Klaroline just because of how it’s a love story that could have happened in any other setting. It could have been the feelings a bad boy had for a strong, proud girl in a countryside high school. That’s what I really liked about it, that it made Klaus seem human. Not in the humane sense, but took off the I’m-a-1000-year-old-villain aura. And I think part of the reason was because Caroline is actually really young, and she brought about the younger side of Klaus. Cami has always been really experienced at life. I don’t really know what that means, just that she was always in control, and for as long as she was human, she guided Klaus, he was the lost one she was trying to help. She was always really confident, and as she said herself, she liked herself. She isn’t a highschool girl.

Klaroline was really cute, and I loved the humour it had. They made each other laugh, and their ‘connection’ was really this underlying fact that Klaus could make Caroline smile. He was attracted to her and admired her qualities and he wanted her. He was attracted to her completely, both for her mind and her looks, whereas with Cami, it was a completely emotional connection. That’s why making the physical attraction obvious was so hard, but I’ll get to that in a second.

So basically, Klaroline was about Care realizing that this horrible guy and she weren’t all that different, and they could connect as friends (as in they could be friends with each other), and finally giving into the feelings she had gradually developed for him. She liked him and she couldn’t deny it. It really seemed like a high-school/college love, young love, basically. Maybe if Klaus stayed on the show, it could have grown, or maybe not, because as Caroline said herself, her plans didn’t involve him.

When Klaus saw Cami, he let himself feel a little attracted to her, but what quickly developed was a 100% emotional connection. And in ways, it’s a more mature love because Cami is a more mature person. Being experienced at life means she helped Klaus grow. And no matter what anyone says about his not wanting to hurt Cami, I think he kept avoiding telling her his feelings and running away because that would leave him totally vulnerable to her. He was too scared to let himself open up to her that much. And Cami, of course, avoided it because he was a monster, screwed up. And so, they danced around each other all the time, their relationship both totally private (because no one else was involved. Poor Genevieve proved that, and Aurora, that Klaus’ connection with Cami ran deeply enough to overcome any other feelings), and yet blatantly obvious because everyone knew they loved each other, and yet were too scared to see it themselves. They knew they cared for each other without ever exploring why.

They let themselves confess to each other in small ways, Klaus calling her beautiful, saying I would have found you, and the I would wish for nothing more, and Cami constantly being there for him, believing in him, but the actual confession of feelings would be that one step where Klaus would open up to her completely, and Cami would give into her feelings despite her common sense. When Klaus nearly lost her to Aurora does he finally confess.

Klaroline was passion, and Klamille was intense, and yet quiet, and maybe quiet because of its intensity. I believe (and maybe this is also wishful thinking) that Klamille will always exist. The protectiveness he feels towards Cami, the want to make her happy. Even if she is with someone else, their connection, as Leah recently pointed out, isn’t going anywhere. And that’s kind of similar to how Klaus was all possessive about Caroline while on the phone. Old habits (here, feelings) die hard.
