"Well obviously the place is still here after I've been rational, I think it's a one time thing," he said with a lopsided smirk, knowing that there were moments where he actually made a decent amount of sense and right now was one of them. "C'mon, I'm hungry and you're joining me"
a light chuckle escaped the brunette's lips for a brief second. "i mean, you have a point there." she teased as she look at the other for the moment. "and you know me, i'm always hungry. let's grab some food before this building falls down or something." she teased.
Izzy was too busy oogling the other to really form a coherent thought. Can you blame Izzy, he was a simple man who sees an attractive person and turns off his brain. It was probably a weird dictonomy for a guy who talks hit and occasionally gets hit. "I can tell you are." Izzy said leaning against the wall. "I have to ask though- do you like spicy things?" Izzy asked with an eyebrow quirk.
she had seen him on occasion before, with silas but she hadn't spoken to him before. the thoughts crossing her mind as to why would silas hang around with him. a small shake of her head for a brief second before she heard his question. a small raised eyebrow and arms loosely folded. "depends.. how spicy are we talking? i always say, the spicier the better."
Momo hummed in discontent. "Well then they are more than welcome to drop them off and I'll decorate with them." Momo said trying not to pout. Momo looked at the doorway and removed the biggest eyesores of decorations. She only left a heart shaped doily. "Now the eyesore is gone. I don't think someone will die seeing a heart." Momo said defensively.
ilya just rolled her eyes, knowing that there was no winning with this at all. she knew that there would be no winning against this person and it was starting to get a little boring in her opinion, yet there was a small sense of relief spread through her as the other gave in.. even if it was only the biggest eyesore removed. "i mean someone could die seeing a heart.. but let that remain on your conscion"
"you don't think you're using your brain here?" she asks, lightly amused. from her end of the bar, it looks to be complicated work. the actual mixing, that is. cleaning up, she imagines, is much more brainless. "if you could do something else instead, what would it be? i've done a lot of different jobs in my day, but it can be difficult to find something that really sticks with you."
"no, i don't think i am usng my brains here.. but then again I don't really have one." a small shrug of her shoulders. making drinks didn't use much of a brain cell in ilya's mind. "and i don't think I could do any other job, even if I had the brains of the smartest person around. I just think.. this job is the best for me."

Lou listened with her eyes falling to her hands. All appearances that she'd disengaged from the conversation even though she was listening more intently now than she had been before. Really what the girl was saying the long way around..."So you're saying we're the problem. Humans." It wasn't all that far off if she was honest. They were a terrible species. Even the end of the world hadn't culled the worst of them. If anything, it had made them worse. "I could probably get behind that."
okay, maybe she could have said that in a quicker way, but when ilya wanted to talk about something, she did have a chance to waffle. "yep, human kind is always the problem." hands slipping into her jacket pockets with a small shrug of her shoulder. "it always feels that whenever there is a problem, it is always humankind that is at fault."
He may have listened to her every whim but even he had to object to being the bad guy with their daughter - well, all of the time at least. He played his fair share of bad cop and it was not a fun thing for him, the normally emotionless mutant weirdly emotional when it came to her. "Good," he sighed, "and don't make me start being the rational one here, I don't like it - makes me feel gross and icky inside"
she rarely ever gave in, but she would.. just this once. he was, after all her best friend in the whole of the world and myabe, just maybe she liked him a little more than that. Lips pressed for a brief moment as she shrugged her shoulders. "i don't think either of us should be rational.. because if we were the world would end, again."
open to all
"You know that's not how this worksβthere'sβ¦" He let out a sigh. "I can't just destroy any building you ask." He didn't know if the other had some sort of grievance, or if they'd heard something, but he'd play clueless, as if he didn't know that he could literally destroy a city.
"oh come on, i bet you can." ilya remarked as she looked at the other for a moment. watching a building be destroyed would bring her great pleasure. "it would be awesome to watch and.. you can let some steam off or something like that."
` Gabs' brow arched in ire, arms still crossed like she was bracing for war. βWow, thanks for the reassurance, really feeling the support here,β she deadpanned, before scoffing. βAnd for the record? Bold of you to assume I havenβt already died once. Some of us are working with firsthand experience.β Still, she stepped up to the counter with great reluctance, like she was about to sign away her dignity. βOne strawberry milkshake and fries,β she ordered, then shot Ilya a glare. βAnd if this is disgusting? Youβre finishing it." She holds up a hand, an accusing finger directed at the other "no take-backs, no excuses, no βoh, actually Iβm not hungry.β You suffer with me.β As they waited, she drummed her fingers against the counter, her expression caught between annoyance and reluctant amusement. βYβknow, I canβt tell if you actually believe in this culinary abomination or if you just like watching me make bad decisions.β A pause, then she smirked. βWaitβnever mind. I already know.β
A roll of her eyes soon followed as she heard the others words spoken. "but i doubt you died from eating a fry dipped in milkshake." she retorted back, her arms folded tightly across her chest as she watched the other approach the counter.
A shocked gasp escaped her brunette's pressed lips. "i would never say any of the words."hand on her chest for a moment. "besides, who would turn down free food, even if you think it is disgusting. I mean, everyone is different and blah blah blah." a wave of her hand for a moment. an eyebrow raised ever so slightly as he heard gab's last words. "i mean, i didn't tell you to do it.. but yes, i do love watching people making bad decisions. it is better entertainment than anything else.. okay second best besides annoying silas to death."

Breath of fresh air, she thought with a nod. The woman's words echoed her own thoughts a little too closely. While Lou was used to thinking the worst of people, up until now there was usually someone around to argue or prove her wrong. But then again, Lou was the worst of people most of the time.
"Chaos," she repeated with a furrow of her brow. That was an interesting way to put it. As far as she was concerned, everything was already chaos. "More chaotic than the apocalypse?"
there was a light laugh, which soon followed a shrug of her shoulders. "i mean, i don't know much about the world before the apocalypse." a pause for a moment. "but, i like to think that the chaos is the same as it was back then, just different things that cause that chaos." yes, sometimes ilya could be deep in thought.
"different times, different problems but the same amount of chaos is what i see or think. but then again, i'm not the smartest cookie around so I could be getting this all completely wrong."

Another damn headache - they were getting more frequent and more intense. It was almost as if his mind was trying to rewire itself somehow. "Dammit," he said as he took a swig from the beer in front of him before raising a hand. "I'm fine, the headaches happen more and more," he mused before looking up at them. "Did you need something?"
"i just asked if you wanted another one." ilya remarked, eyes watching the other for a moment. "and i'm not a doctor or anything but i'm pretty sure drinking beer doesn't help with headaches.. scotch is the best cure for it, unless it is a hangover headache then you need to drink exactly what you drank the night before."
"Because I have great tas-" He looked up at the stranger with sparkling eyes. Izzy's heart skipped for 6e+10 nanoseconds. He sighed and wiped his mouth. "I promise you I have a legit medical problem. And when I do normal shit like exercising I feel like my body is in flames." He said. There was a twitch of lip holding a cupcake. "For someone as sweet as you."
she just watched him, her arms folded still. a few blinks for a moment as he spoke. why was he explaining all of this to her? maybe he was dropped on his head or something..? comments running through her mind before she let a chuckle escape her lips, only to seem.. friendly. "no, i don't need a cupcake. i'm sweet enough as it is."

"i've always wondered," she starts, bucket clutched between two massive paws; "what gets you into a job like this? do you actually enjoy doing it? i know you've got to apply, so i can only assume... but i just don't see anything enjoyable about it."
a snort escaped her, hands drying off a beer glass. "no one finds any job enjoyable." ilya remarked as she watched the other for a moment. working, it was the same for everyone. "and i mean it's an okay job, better than some jobs and the most enjoyable part is that it isn't too hard. other jobs look like hell or require you to use your brain and that is not me."
"I know, I kno- wait, why do I have to be the bad cop?" he scoffed, "you know good cop bad cop is normally done in turns, right? I'm not exactly a bad guy, you know?" he huffed, knowing he kind of was but that was besides the point. "I just want her to be happier than I was as a kid but with more manners then I had" which wasn't hard to do
maybe she had hoped he would just agree and not actually listen to her words but then again, this was silas, he always listened to everything she had to say. "i just though, generally speaking the bad cops are always the dads and the cool cop is the mom." a brief pause before a long, drawn out sigh escaped her lips. "but fine, we can share the good cop, bad cop role.. but please be bad cop this time." arms folded across her chest. "and manners will come, look, her drawing on a wall doesn't mean she does not have manners, she is just expressing the creativity that she holds." but deep down ilya knew that silas was correct. "but fine, we will have that chat with her about drawing on the walls."
"I was but.." Momo paused on the stool supposedly taking down the decorations. Instead she jumped from the stool, maybe very nervous about what she's about to do "I think these are my best decorations yet." There was a sigh. "I'll tell you what if enough people hate it then I'll take it down deal." There was a ghost of a grin on her face.
a forced smile fell upon the others for a brief second before the usual roll of her brown hues happened. "i think my kid could make better decorations than this." ilya mused as she titled her head ever so slightly to the side. "you know people would never openly admit how much they hate them, however i speak for the people and say that these are an eyesore."

"Sure, Jan," was all he said before scoffing, "better than hobbit feet," he countered, knowing this could go on for hours if they wanted to. "Still, we kind of need to be parents, you don't need to hire someone to clean your house because she made it a canvas," he sighed, not trying to shame her at all - that'd be the last thing he'd do - but he knew that his daughter needed to start being told no.
she knew this could go on ours, the many previous conversations that ended up in insulting each other always lasted for several hours. βlook, I know she needs to know the word no.β hands raised for a moment. βbut you canβt tell her, she gives those puppy dog eyes and you know..itβs hard.β a long drawn out sigh escaped her lips. βI mean you could be bad cop and I could be good cop..think thatβs a fair deal..and itβs just paint. Now if it was a match and something flammable it would be a different story.β
"Excuse me, my nose is perfectly normal," he quipped back, "unlike that forehead of yours - or should I say it's more like a six-head," he scoffed, folding his arms. This had always been their relationship, and he loved every moment of it even if he bitched about it. Laughing, he did something he rarely did and that was snort, something only those closest to him saw, "we should probably work on her not doing that"
"wow, wow, wow, my forehead is a normal size." a frown itched across her features for a moment before she elbowed the others ribs. friends, he was her only true and closest friend. someone she could rip into and not have to worry about him being offended. "at least i haven't got hobbit ears." she teased back. "and yes, we should stop her from doing that but that kid, is like me, does not understand the word no or hiç."
