Biography: Jiro was never exactly 'human' before the XIBALBA II meteor hitâthere's a suggestion that he lived long before the mutations themselves happened, existing as a prehistoric creature in the depths of the Pacific Ocean. It was the X-virus that seemingly reversed his DNA into a more humanoid form as seen today. Scientists speculate that the radiation levels at the deeper depths of the ocean contributed to his mutation. During the days of his 'mindlessness,' he was the fierce creature known as 'Godzilla,' a beast empowered by radiation. His overwhelming urge to protect the ocean his home led to his enraged destruction of anything and anyone in his path, including entire cities. Though, of course, those details are hardly discussed nowadays. The 'cure' allowed him to control his strength and form at will, instead of being fixated in a permanent monstrous state.
Questionnaire:
How do they feel about living in Sol City? Have they always lived there or did they travel from another settlement? Jiro feels more at home towards the ocean, what he now calls 'the coast' in the Wastelands. While he can peacefully exist within the city walls, he can still sense the storms brewing far off in the ocean. This constant tug of his home unsettles his temperament, making it difficult for him to fully control his emotions when he's far from the one place he considers his true 'home.'
Do they trust the councilâs leadership? Why or why not? Jiro can never fully trust the council's leadership, knowing what he is. He can either be their tool or something that needs to be destroyed.
If they chose their sector and profession, why did they make that choice? If they didnât, why not? Were they happy with their assignment or not? Jiro finds the irony in his sector and profession. On one hand, itâs a form of retribution using his mutation for the greater good rather than wreaking havoc. As an expert in demolitions, he can create destruction with precision, using explosives instead of relying on his monstrous physical strength. Itâs a way to control his power while remaining more reserved, rather than being the uncontrolled beast he once was. Despite the irony, Jiro finds some satisfaction in it, as it allows him to channel his energy in a more controlled manner.
Whatâs one object that they always keep on their person? A seashell something to remind him of the ocean and where he belongs. It's a grounding object, something that helps him feel connected to his past and his true home, especially when the pull of the ocean grows stronger within him.
