Remus: We’re heading out to grab some supplies. Simple run.

“This is stupid,” Janus mumbled.

Virgil pulled out a disinfectant wipe from the first aid kit Patton had given him before sitting down to make lunch.

“I don’t care. Stop complaining. You lost an eye but you could have died.”

Janus’ scowl deepened. He grit his teeth as his knuckles burned, fighting not to clench his fingers. Virgil laughed.

“If we’re not careful, we’ll break your hands. Maybe we should work with less dangerous for now.”

“How the fuck did I become someone who can’t handle a baseball bat,” he mumbled.

Virgil wrapped his knuckles in gauze and started on his other hand. “Give yourself a break. It was a… difficult time. At least we’re alive.”

Janus sighed. “You keep saying that, but how long will it last if I can’t protect us?”

Virgil looked over his shoulder. Patton squinted into the pot over their campfire, poking at the inside with a wooden spoon.

“You’re not the only one who can protect us,” he whispered, glaring at Janus. “You can just let me handle it a moment, okay?”

Remus: Yeah, it’s called ‘Roman’ and it’s annoying.

Riley: I can’t aim, asshole. They kept hitting my knuckles.

Patton: Ooh! Get some colouring books!

Riley: Baseball with Verge. You wouldn’t believe how much times I hit my knuckles.

Roman: Oh, that’s a really good-

Roman: Yeah, that’s a good idea!
