Gremlins and hobbits.  These are just a couple of familiar and popular movie short guys we love.  But around the world, different cultures and various regions  already have their own little humanoid myths and legends that have been around for generations.  Some are scary.  Some tickles our imagination.  Some are down right amusing.  And some, you might be familiar with already.
I made a video about popular little humanoid cryptids and mythical creatures. Check it out.
Sharing its borders with Vermont of the U.S. and Quebec Canada, Lake Memphremagog is rumored to be the home of Memphre, a 50 foot or 15.2 meters serpent-like creature, kinda like the Loch Ness monster.
I made a short video about Memphre. It's less than 60 secs. Check it out.

The Chaneques are small mischievous humanoid creatures from Mexican folklore. They inhabit forests and jungles, often hiding in the shadows. Standing only at 3 to 4 feet, these tricksters enjoy playing pranks on travelers, leading them astray or causing confusion. Their appearance varies, but they’re typically described as having gnarled features, pointy ears, and sometimes wearing tattered clothing.
Below is a short, less than 30 sec, video on the Chaneques. Check it out.
The Nipgubben, a legendary nature spirit from northern Sweden, watches over the Nipfjallet region. Benevolent yet mischievous, he protects the forests, rivers, and wildlife. Disrespectful travelers may encounter subtle tricks like lost paths leading them astray, vanishing items such as keys and compasses, and whispers in the wind urging them in circles. The Nipgubben’s domain demands respect and reverence.
Check out the short vid that I made for the Nipgubben. It's less than 60 secs.
In Ohio, there’s a popular urban legend called the Loveland Frogmen. These creatures are supposed to be 3 to 4 feet tall with frog-like features, including webbed hands and feet, leathery skin, and large, bulbous eyes.
See the short vide below, less than 60 secs, about the Loveland frogmen.
In Czech and Slovak folklore, the VodnÃk is a water sprite that inhabits rivers, lakes, and ponds. Often depicted as an old man with webbed feet and a fish tail, the VodnÃk can bring both fortune and misfortune to those who encounter him.
Check out this short vid, less than 60 secs, about the vodnik.
This mythos is from Japan, and let me tell you, it's wild. First off, they're obsessed with sumo wrestling, but we'll get to that later.
The Kappa is a creature from Japanese folklore. Imagine child-sized water sprites with greenish or yellow-blue skin, webbed hands and feet, and a shell on their back like a turtle.

Let’s make images of the Loch Ness monster using AI…
Let’s start with the classic image…
This is how many of us first saw pictures of the Loch Ness monster, or Nessie for short. Basically, it’s a large pre-historic reptilian beast with a long neck and bulbous body.
I made a quick video on how I used AI image generator for Loch Ness Monster. Check it out.
