Shaykh muh‌ammad ibn s‌ālih‌ al-ʿuthaymīn (رحمه الله) stated:

“any knowledge which is a means of benefit, will be a cause of benefit for you after your death. even if you were to teach people a sunnah from the sunan of the rawātib. or a sunnah of what’s performed or said in the prayer, which people will benefit from after your death. you will obtain an on-going reward for it.

so, all knowledge which is benefited from, even if it was a little. it will be written for the person after their death.”
