I love palutena because of her flaws and think they make her more believable and human. i wanna put her in a petri dish and shake her around and analyze all her problems I want her attitude to pit and her lack of personal communication to be a repeated pattern [stares at the medusa shaped hole in the wall] from being too emotionally guarded that leaks through as playful deflection so she’s sociable but only at an arms length and she likes her coffee cream with two sugars and no way me too girl

ive got palutena kid icarus brainworms right now but yeah. shes flawed and absolutely not a benevolent, perfect leader and she fucks up, says things that are…morally questionable and takes her teasing too far but goddd if that didn’t make her the most interesting character in this game to me. That’s why her and Pit are my favs, their relationship is allowed to be complex and messy. This whole game is messy and its two main characters are one of the strongest examples of that.

Palutena comes off as someone that’s deeply insecure of her own shortcomings as a leader *and* a hero while simultaneously (like almost every other god) she’s totally full of herself. But unlike every other god she actually admits when she’s wrong. She has a lot of room for growth, and she’s starting to take those strides. I think it’s honestly beautiful that in a story largely about saving humanity, one that says humanity is all messy and imperfect, that the one by your side, the god, the one that—as much as she’d want to, feels she needs to, be above all that— is probably the most human out of any character in this game.

yeah even more than pit. I think they should explore pits (picked up from palutena) flaws and habits more methinks. let’s be ignorant about war and humanity with mama
