The best part of redesigning a character is redesigning them multiple times.

Here's another Lucifer redesign that I've done for my hazbin au (I say like it's a concrete thing). This time, I've based my design more around Venus, because of the common link between the planet and Lucifer. Also, because I am strangely determined for my Lucifer redesigns to all be red heads, for some reason.

The quotes, if you're curious, come from Sappho, Alfred Tennyson, John Milton, and 'Oh Paris' from Paris the musical.

There's never enough fem Merthur, in my opinion.

Hi, here's some drawings of my Lesbyler Cleradin au. I tried practicing rendering more - to mixed success.

I have a lot of notes about this au - but I'm not really sure how to get started on summarising it or if people really want to hear me ramble on.

Again, personally I'm not a fan of the fanon names Michelle and Willow - so I tend to call them Michaela and Wilma.

Hi, here are my redesigns of Vaggi and Lute for my 'A Weed Chokes the Roots au'.

Vaggi, in this au, was humanborn angel/Winner who chose to become an exorcist, while Lute is a heavenborn angel.

Vaggi's design is based off a Polyphemus moth, because I found it funny. While Lute's design is based off a Shrike, which is sometimes referred to as the Butcher bird.

Hi, these are some drawings for my 'Where the Apple Falls au', which is my Hazbin swap au. These designs are of Emily (swapped with Charlie), Michael (swapped with Lucifer), and Eve (swapped with Lilith).

Sorry if the following ramblings don't make much sense.

So firstly, some ideas I have for world building.

All angels in this au emerged/were kind of born from the Garden - Eden. And many other bits of creation - including the first humans - also first appeared in the Garden. With the very first things to emerge, having been the Elder Seraphim.

Angels - particularly the Elder Seraphim are embodiments of concepts. For example, Michael is Logic, and Lucifer/Lumiel is creativity. Which influences their nature.

Now, regarding the fall in this swap au, with Michael and Eve having fallen. First, Michael are Eve are not romantically involved. Second, they fall for a slightly different reason than Lucifer and Lilith in canon. As Michael and Eve held suspicions about the Garden, and ended up finding out something that they shouldn't.

I see Michael as a very different King of Hell to Lucifer due to his nature as Logic, with him being highly involved in the running of hell. Perhaps overly so, as the chaotic nature of the sinners means some hold resentment for Michael's rule. Particularly overlords. Additionally, I see both Michael and Eve as somewhat paranoid due to what happened in Heaven.

Now, regarding the designs.

Emily's design is inspired by the concept of Elpis - the greek goddess/concept of hope, who's mentioned in the Myth of Pandora. In which hope is the last spirit to remain in the pithos/jar. Elpis is both seen as positive and negative, as the hope for better, but also as a naive hope. Or simply, the concept of expectation. Elpis is sometimes represented as a young girl with a flower in hand, and I mixed this interpretation with a cracked pithos for Emily's design. The flowers I used being daffodils.

With Michael (and Hell as a whole) I changed the circus theme, considering he's not Lucifer. Instead for this swap, I think Hell is inspired by an orchestra, with Michael as the Conductor. Which is what inspired the outfit, and baton-like sword. He is also a lion. Also, while he is the sin of Pride, the Pride Ring's colour is green for the swap.

Lastly, Eve is inspired by an apple tree. I actually don't have much to say about her design.

Here's some doodles of my Where the Apple Falls au which take place during Alastor's time in the penitent program. Aka, Lucifer's attempts to keep Alastor out of hell by murder-blocking him.

As mentioned in my previous post, Alastor's name in his mortal life (in this au) is Alistair, however, I'm throwing around the idea of having him use 'Alastor' as his radio alias.

And, if anyone is curious, Marc the duck is a Muscovy duck.

This is for my 'Where the Apple Falls' au - which is kind of a swap au. Aka, Lucifer/Lumiel isn't fallen, and in this case - somehow Alastor is a winner (completely Lucifer's fault).

Excuse me while I go on a ramble.

Firstly, Alastor in this au is a 'Penitent' soul - someone identified by heaven as really close to stumbling over the edge to becoming a sinner. Thus leading to an angel (Lumiel/Lucifer) attempting to influence them away from sin. Kind of a guardian angel situation - though with several limitations on how much the angel can interfere. Though, in Alastor's case, there are questions in heaven over Lumiel's level of interference - as Alastor lived a whole ten years more than he was supposed to. Plus, the two still regularly interact in heaven.

Secondly, regarding Alastor's name. In hell, we see clear instances of sinners changing their names to aliases - aka - Anthony = Angel Dust, Vincent = Vox, Pendleton = Sir Pentious, or at least, it being implied - Nifty, Husk etc. In my opinion, perhaps it's something to do with deals and real names having power. Anyways, point is, why would Alastor actually be Alastor's human name. So, long story short, I made Alastor's name Alistair, a) because they sound similar, b) because 'Alistair' means defender of man, and I found it funny. Honestly, I still think in this au, Alastor would still somehow find a way to be called Alastor.

Thirdly, despite himself being a penitent soul, and that having been his avenue to heaven. Alastor in this au signed up to be an Exorcist. I think despite having not killed anyone in his human lifetime, Alastor's messy moral compass would still be prevalent in this au.

Lastly, Alastor is based off a northern mockingbird.

Synopsis:

In the Beginning, the Elder Seraphim - Michael, and the Second Woman - Eve, fell from paradise into the pit of their creation.

In the year 1804, concerned by the increase in hell's population, the first Woman - Lilith proposes a solution - a then, septennial purge of hell's occupants.

However, within the Elders there is dissent, and a second, concurrent solution is proposed by the Virtue of Hope - Lumiel. An Earth-based program dedicated to keeping more souls from tipping over the edge - dubbed 'The Penitents'.

Now, the Princess of Hell Emily establishes a hotel for the purpose of redemption (thoroughly researched). With the backing of three overlords, the king of hell, and an ultimatum from heaven.
