Design notes:

- Charlie, oh my god I love her so muchhhhh. I gave her goat hooves, ears and horns to play more into that aspect of her design but I desired to keep it more subtle. I kept her red palette a lot pinker and just generally tried make her look more ‘open’ and bubbly. Also I swapped her bowtie out for a ribbon because I thought it was cute

- For Vaggi I think I made her a little too human looking but I think most of the heaven born are generally quite humany anyway. I kept her skin tone grayish but I definitely warmed it up a little and made it a bit darker for better contrast. I thought the nod to her original design in the dress she wore at the end of s2 was cute, so I gave her back her little moth looking bow in her hair. I decided to give her more of a “uniform” but gave her an open collar so she looks more gentle and relaxed. For her eye I can only imagine she’s got a big ol scar down her face, I think in s1 she would’ve covered it up even more with an eyepatch out of insecurity but I think she would’ve dropped in by s2. (Sorry I got rid of the floating X it pissed me off 💔 literally my only design gripe)

- I put Alastor in greyscale, obv, to make him feel more old timey and shit except his eyes, monocle (?) and teeth. For his eyes I really like the idea that, because he’s so old fashioned, Alastor is a big believer in “the eyes are the window to the soul” so I wanted them to stand out. Additionally, I really liked the glowing gimmick he does with his teeth a few times in the show and In my head that stands out more when everything else is uncoloured. I wanted Al to come across more outwardly friendly looking to juxtapose his personality and reputation, I just think cheerful looking mama’s boy who murders and canibalises people who piss him off is fun. Let him keep a little bit of creepiness as a treat though.
