i’m so tired

pancake day at least

today was a lot

i was gonna go shopping with a bunch of my friends tomorrow

but i can’t because dad has a stupid appointment for his leg and could go to hospital because of it

i get that but i haven’t seen my friends in over a week

and i cant even see them once because of that

I cant wait for pancake day (not valentines but pancakes)

I wanna be the artist not the masterpiece

i’m so tired

How Does Love Feel

Every poem I read,

Every poem I hear,

Every poem about love,

Every poem about someone dear.

I always cried to those poems,

I never truly found myself in them,

I never truly loved,

I never found my hidden gem.

But it’s because I can’t love,

But sometimes i wonder if it’s not that i can’t,

But that it’s more that I won’t,

But love to me is like a dying plant.

Love to me is an excruciating chant,

Love to me is a shelf on a slant,

Love to me is an annoying rant,

Love to me is a kidney transplant.

Because ‘true love’ doesn’t seem real,

The News Tonight

In my bed I lay,

thinking how it’s a week until my birthday.

I bask in the unusually strong moonlight,

as I turn to my favourite star which is extraordinarily bright.

The strongest always pull your attention,

while the others sit in high suspension.

I think about my birthday but something else is lurking,

a little thought that is trying its hardest, working.

Working its way into my brain,

a thought that brings me much pain.

The thought of a dear someone dying,

the thought that leaves me crying.

She doesn’t have much time left,
