The issue with GMOs is that corporations like Monsanto are patenting GMOs and arresting indigenous farmers for cross pollinating with they seeds. But there is nothing dangerous about the science.

hey it actually isn’t! i get really really sick whenever i have more than a beer or two and i absolutely hate how people assume i must be lame/a kill joy when i refuse a drink. people choose to be sober or mostly sober for a variety of reasons, e.g. addiction, medical, etc. and not a single one of them is “because i’m a lame person who hates fun” 

The degree to which drinking is seen as a must in social situations is fucking weird, and I think the fact that people are more put off by non-drinkers than by how much alcohol consumption has permeated the culture is … troubling.

I watched my cousin die from liver cirrhosis caused by alcohol. So literally, anyone who thinks that choosing not to drink is lame needs to seriously fuck off. I choose not to drink simply because of the fact that I come from an extremely alcoholic family and have it seen kill people I love. Some of my college friends fucking bragged to me about how they drove drunk and they knew they were over the limit. THEY KNEW MY COUSIN WAS DYING AT THE TIME BECAUSE HE WAS AN ALCOHOLIC.

I literally don’t have the space for any more physical books, but I’ve downloaded every Underrealm book on Kindle. I read The Alchemist’s Touch specifically because of this post and I seriously can’t recommend the Underrealm books enough. they are absolutely fantastic.

I don’t really read anymore, not like i used to. And of i get a masters this year like i am planning to then that isn’t going to change. But hell yes I’m going to go and buy these books because THIS is exactly the kind of thing that i want to support!
