Promotional banner for the Cartoon Art Museum, Pretty in Ink: The Trina Robbins Collection exhibit, April 2014. This exhibit was based on Trina Robbins's recent book, Pretty in Ink, so the banner design was inspired by Fantagraphics' book cover design (although I redesigned the logo for better readability at a distance -- typically, for these front window banners, we want to be able to read the logo from across the street). The drawing of the girl is from the comic strip Flapper Fanny by Ethel Hays.

Promotional banner for the Cartoon Art Museum, Grains of Sand: 25 Years of the Sandman exhibit, October 2013. This is another one where all I really did was assemble the pieces: the beautiful logo design is by Ryan Graff, the illustration of Death is of course by the amazing Dave McKean.

Promotional banner for Cartoon Art Museum, Searle in America exhibit on the art of British illustrator and cartoonist Ronald Searle, November 2013. Susan Bradley at Pixar created the logo design; I just dropped in Searle's fabulous Lucille Ball. I really love the simplicity of this one.
