I love how some white people think we have a monopoly on good parenting and raising our kids. One Black mother has to do more parenting than X of us white mothers combined.

Ramsey is a part of her because he took her innocence against her own will. Rape will do that just as much as an unwanted pregnancy. But if she is pregnant and loses the baby, we’ll all feel relieved, won’t we?

Really, if I had to give a single reason for my GOT obsession, it’s the violence. Having shed my Chuck Norris upbringing, I consider it a true gift. None of the women are victims, despite surviving beatings, rape, torture, betrayal and terror. Eventually, they’ll get their revenge, and you’re a goddamn fool if you think otherwise. The women are smart. Always. They have their own opinions, desires, motives and morals. It behooves the men in their lives to listen to and seek out their advice. Their sexualities are nuanced and a source of power rather than shame. The women are mothers, warriors, goddesses, demons, sex slaves, sex fiends, lovers, haters, friends, enemies, peacekeepers and straight-up assassins all rolled into one. I watch because the violence is on my side, for once. Yes Please.
