Will Geno Join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? Character Spec!

Wow I really canât believe itâs been 3 years since my last Character Speculation post. Since the Smash Bros WiiU/3DS Era lol. First off I want to thank all of you!! Friends I really do appreciate you for tuning in to my blog and having conversation with me on Smash Bros. I really enjoy this and it makes me happy. I know Iâm not as active as I was a few years ago but you all still support the blog despite that. In short I just want to say youâre the best friends :)
As you know if asked I give my opinion on a characterâs chance of joining the Smash Roster. I was recently asked to give a rate Geno who I gave a 99% chance rating.

Based on the Newcomers weâve seen join SMASH this time around, we had reason to believe that Sakurai paid special attention to the Fighter Ballot when selecting new fighters for Smash Ultimate. And that has actually been confirmed in Sakuraiâs Famitsu Column Vol. 561 (Read full translation over on Source Gaming) On King K. Rool Sakurai says âI referred to the Smash Ballot when selecting characters this time, and King K. Rool from the Donkey Kong series was one who received a ton of votesâ.
Geno has been heavily requested ever since Melee and Brawl so his support during the Fighter Ballot was definitely not absent. Although we DO NOT have official results we did conduct a poll on our blog during the ballot and Geno placed Top 10 at #8 on OUR Third Party Poll:
So Iâm sure Genoâs name was quite common on the fighter ballot.
#2 . Sakurai Wanted to Add Geno In Brawl
In an interview with Nintendo Dream magazine Sakurai revealed that he actually wanted to add Geno in Brawl and is aware of fan demand saying: Â Â Â Â Â
âSakurai: Geno was actually a character I wanted to include as a fighter. He has a gun for an arm, and just seems like he'd fit absolutely perfectly into Smash. I was hoping I'd be able to put him in as far back as Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but unfortunately that never ended up materializing...
Interviewer: And that's why you included him as a Mii Costume this time around?
Sakurai: Yes. He's incredibly popular. Even though he's an old character, we keep getting loads of votes and requests for us to put him in the game. Even though he still isn't in as a playable fighter, I made sure he'd be in as a Mii costume so his fans would at least feel that they got something.â

Speaking of Mii Fighters... itâs just a hunch but weâre paying attention to a little more than a few of the characters that recieved Mii Fighter Costumes.

#4 . Vergeben âNew Square Enix Characterâ
Regardless of this âleakâ my thoughts on Geno have been the same for a while. But I want to keep you all updated and cover this rumor.
You may know of a leaker that goes by the name of Vergeban who predicted Simon Belmont. Although he DID NOT say Geno specifically he did post this:
Geno although originating from Mario RPG is owned by Square Enix just like Cloud.
In conclusion, the first 3 reasons are why I gave Geno a 99% chance of entry and am confident that he will join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate! Hope you enjoyed the read friends :) In time we will all know if the Mailman has delivered Geno an Invitation lol. Later!
