Scott Haffrey

Sadie fiddled with the cushion on the couch so she could get comfortable and then paid full attention to Scott but the second it was mentioned about getting to see people without a façade, Sadie’s smile faded a little and she became slightly more defensive. That wasn’t because she had anything about her personality to hide, in fact it was opposite. She wasn’t exactly the deepest of people, it was something that always bothered her about herself. She was emotionally deep, but in terms of being the mysterious girl with her head buried in books or over-thinking or wondering things - she was the furthest thing from it. She smiled slightly and furrowed her eyebrows, “There’s not much to know about me.” she said simply. “I’m pretty…boring.” 

Scott felt her defensiveness, well she wasn't really hiding it all that well, he patted her back "Don't worry Sadie, You've been pretty real with me so far. I mean i've even seen you without your nails done." He joked about how even out in this cabin off in the woods she still managed to keep herself done up. He raised a brow at how she called herself boring so blatantly. "You know that's exactly what you're not. I wouldn't count you as boring in the least. If you were so boring would i have came all this way to make sure you were alright? Or stay to keep you company?" He followed her eyes to the window, with a sigh he leaned his heavy shoulder into her "Want me to cover that up too?" he asked sincerely "Something worrying you?" Something about how she was looking at that window... Her startled movement brought him back to reality again, "Well that's exactly the kind of audience Jensen is trying to appeal to. In every aspect. I wouldn't be surprised if the creep's butchering the footage of us hanging out together for gossip points." he said with a sigh.

She shrugged off his comment. Reagan knew she hadn’t been exactly social lately, she could be but that required energy and that she didn’t exactly have since the Winter Break. She’d tried, but one person at a time. Hanging out in groups? That was different and a whole demanding level up for her. Besides, it wasn’t the first time someone was calling her weird, anyway. Reagan bit her lip looking back into the hallway. The feeling of eyes in her back was still there, and it probably only was the were cameras still observing everything even during the blackout, but she didn’t feel like going back there, not just right now. She wasn’t easy to scare, and she wasn’t exactly afraid of whatever could be waiting in the night, but she was definitely unsettled. The atmosphere around was getting heavy, anyway. With the TVs on, and the thunders outside, the people panicking all around the cabin. Reagan shook her head and scoffed to his comment about not biting. How original, she thought to herself but walked into his room, just a bit forward than the doorframe. “Well, Scott. You didn’t ask,” she shrugged with a cocky smirk on her face.

Scott had the feeling that he irritated this girl more than he intended to. He strayed from eye contact with her and his responses became a fumbling mess of grunts and nods. Then she smarted off about what he sadi earlier, with a roll of his eyes and a chuckle "I didn't mean it in any bad way, You just never come out of your room. I would have had no idea you liked to swim or sun bathe had you not just told me so." He wasn't trying to be rude or condescending, he just wanted to clarify. "All in all you dont seem that bad, a little on the quite side though." he nudged her lightly with his elbow. "What kind of trouble did you get into in the earlier episodes of the show hmm?" He looked now directly at her. She wasn't that bad, just a bit... off putting to meet a stranger in a storm maybe.

"You staring at my butt now?" she was never one to miss a comment, most people let themselves down by a small slip of the tongue, but it was always their bodies that betrayed them first "fine then, guess this wasn’t a surprise" she took out the switchblade and placed it on the table, then another one from her hip. Bending over she pulled two more from the sides of her boots and placed them with the first, all while watching his reaction. She wasn’t going to get rid of all her knives, but she just wanted to see what he would do.

She could hang for longer than most but Scott still had the feeling her tough street cat thing was all an act. She pulled out the other blades she had on her and he nodded "Didn't have time to look at those all that much now did i?" He raised a brow "So first the collection of knives and pointy things and then you doubt my musical ability? Honey you need to learn how to appreciate a gentleman's company a bit more." He shrugged "Besides if you don't answer to my nicknames for you, how am i supposed to get inside that pretty little head of yours hm?"

the sudden change in him was a surprise, but a welcome one at that. This boy could play the game. Now let’s see if he can keep up. “Oh nothing in particular, just the general look you’ve got going. It”s very clean-boy” she grinned “that and the key that song’s in usually works on a Ukulele, but i’m sure you knew that already.” at his remark on her clothes she laughed “Ever live out of your car? Jeans and a shirt are easier to keep clean that something a little more decorative. But then again you seem to like going without clothes at all, so you’re one to talk” 

This girl was playing some serious games with him, he chuckled and shook his head low. "That's the glory of music Dollface, The key is left to be interpreted by the player, but im sure such a go-getting roadie like yourself already knew that right?" Scott had her numbered now, She kept this tough street cat act up. A lot like the girls he hung out with back home. They usually went through some harrowing experience that left them with a darker perception on the world. He decided he was going to bait her a bit more, to see exactly how much she would tell him about herself before she caught onto his game. "Oh and i lose my clothes because i like to feel free, but uh; im guessing you dont know what that feels like in those pants hmm?" he pointed to her pants, she flicked out her knife and he shook his head again "I saw that when you walked in." he chuckled a bit as he realized he just admitted to looking at her rear. He was trying different tactics to get her to break face. He had been playing this game for a long time, she was lucky she wasn't weakened by the passive charmer he was, that made the game a bit more interesting for him. 

Scott’s words of comfort genuinely calmed her, it made sense to try and spook the guests to get a reaction out of them and it had worked so far on Sadie. She smiled widely when his jacket was thrown over to cover the images, he was far more thoughtful than she had originally assumed he was. Suddenly, the warm touch of his hand on her shoulder made a small shiver run down her spine and her eyes looked up into his. Perhaps she was being a little naive to trust he had come here just to look out for her? Guys did sometimes go the extra mile just to get her into bed but something seemed different about Scott, that he wasn’t that type. Hearing that he’d stay, Sadie grinned from ear to ear. “Thank you so much.” she said happily, her hand shooting to shut the bedroom door as it made her feel safer before she grabbed his arm and pulled him to the couch to get comfortable. Still using the candle he gave her, Sadie searched for some more and lit them around the dorm room to give some more light before she finally plonked herself beside Scott and looked to him with a grateful expression. “I don’t know why I panicked and got so scared, it’s kind of embarrassing actually.” she smiled slightly, her eyes searching his for a moment. “You sure there’s not another damsel in distress who could need you?”

He dropped his hand after he felt her relax a bit. Scott was looking out the window when she thanked him, he turned to her "It's no big deal. You're fun to be around and you dont mind my quirky sense of humor so i enjoy the moments we get to spend together, for em that's what this whole gig is about, Enjoying different people and getting to know them for who they truly are. Not the tough shells they pretend to be in front of the camera's." Scott sincerely hoped she didnt feel this was a petty attempt at getting into her bed, he was totally fine with smoking on it instead. Oh man he thought, what he'd do for a smoke right now. He got a bit weird without his daily toke. He caught eyes with her and he felt this sinking feeling in his chest, soemthing about how the light caught her stopped him in his tracks again, he couldnt shake the feeling that her beauty was surreal. he physically shook his head clear and with another of his nervous chuckles he turned his eyes to the wall in front of him before he nervously said "Did you find what you were looking for in there?" He was referring to her look, it was possibly the first time she looked directly into his eyes, he felt like her eyes were trying to read his soul, everything that made him who he was and he wasnt sure if he wanted anyone to know that yet. He felt bad for turning away so abruptly so he smiled at her, looking at her eyes but breaking the moment again before he got trapped again in her gaze.

She choked back the laughter, this boy -  being honest that’s what he struck her as “Yep” a small laugh caught in her throat “you fit the quota for tortured-musicians” While she was joking, the boy did actually have talent. Maybe that was his angle for the show. Sit around on screen - play enough and maybe he’d get a deal signed. Clever really, if you think about it. “Not bad. Let me guess though, you already have a band and it’s going to be big one day?” she pushed away from the table and moved around to the window, the rain still coming down in sheets and the sky still flickering back and forth from pitch black to brightness.

Scott didn't mind her laughter, in fact he welcomed it. As a guy who really only played music as his one way of venting stress and left over emotions he never thought he was anything special. He got the over whelming feeling that this girl didnt take him seriously though, He shrugged "I mainly play alone, i had some friends that would swing by just to play together but i was never much for the whole band thing, music is a bit more personal for me." he raised a brow to her when she asked about a Uke, "What about my guitar or vocals makes you think of a uke hun?" He decided he would jest at the younger gal the same way she was with him "Not everyone plays that little tweeny stuff you like so much dear." he snickered a bit "I mean T-Swift is obviously a source of inspiration for that outfit right?" he winked at her. If there was one thing Scott was good at, it was an old fashioned game of cat and mouse... though he was usually the dog that ended the cat and mouse's game.

She smiled a little to herself when she heard him laughing. She liked it when people appreciated her humor, most of which was just snide comments and insults. “Oh yea” she grinned at him “More often than you think, no matter how often you think it might happen” He could probably just rewatch some of the old episodes from this show to get an idea of what went on. Eloise was not one to be shy about anything, and to her it was the same as a man’s pride for her. That was half the reason she originally came to the show, just for a bit of fun. “What about you? Do guys keep loosing their pants around you?” she poked fun at him by mirroring his intonation

Scott shook his head "Booze is all fun and games until a good freind is puking up their brains." Scott nodded sure that his rhyme got his viewpoint across. He smiled a bit, this girl was a riot. She took the dark mood of the room and lit it up with her personality. Scott fed off that kind of stuff, and before he knew it his tongue was moving faster than his brain again and he blurted out, "So a song for you then? And I promise, i'll try my best to keep my pants on." He plucked at the strings of his guitar and adjusted it's tuning "It's a sappy love song but rain gets me like that, so deal with it." He cleared his throat and made himself comfortable on the bed he hummed a bit as he got the rhythm going in his head. "I'm in trouble, I'm an addict, I'm addicted to this girl. She's got my heart tied in a knot And my stomach in a whirl. But even worse I can't stop calling her, She's all I want and more, I mean damn, What's not to adore? I've been playing too much guitar, I've been listening to jazz, I called so many times I swear she's going mad And that cellular will be the death of us. I swear, I swear. And oh, O-oh, o-oh, o-ooh, Oh. I'm running my mouth Just like I got her, But I surely don't. Because she's so, O-oh, o-oh, o-ooh, Rock 'n roll, And out of my league. Is she out of my league? Let's hope not."

The lack of clothes on the guy didn’t phase her at all, she hadn’t really noticed it until he brought it up “You wouldn’t be the first, and i doubt you’d be the last” she said still looking around the room. The lightning outside was cracking and briefly lighting the cabin every few moments. The wind was thrashing and the rain beating against the windows. This storm didn’t look like it was going anywhere soon “This type of shit was bound to happen. The show had been too peaceful so far” she glared at the window “The only upside so far is that there’s booze and we’re all locked INdoors this time” she said, mainly to herself. Truth be told, this time was better than before, now it only needed to stay this way through the night and no one here would end up dead or worse

Scott was busting up laughing inside when it crept out in a coughing fit "Ohhhh shit, im sorry i uh... So guys seem to lose their pants around you often then?" he gave her a quirky and deviously curious look. 

At the sound of Scott’s voice coming from opposite her, Sadie froze and a shaky breath left her lips. “Oh thank god.” she whispered as soon as the light from the candle he was holding shone into the room. Gratefully she took it from him and smiled up at him at the orange glow it cast across both their faces with dancing shadows. Taking a few steps closer. “Thanks so much.” she laughed nervously, the fact he came straight to check on her was pretty cute and she smiled more genuinely at him.

Scott barely hearing what she said under her breath when he walked in shook it off as a worried whisper. She stepped closer and scott held his breath, something about these up close and personal situations made him turn stoic. "No need to thank me, I was just worried about you is all." Her smile made it worth the embarrassment to him. He noticed his cheeks felt hot so he scratched the side of his nose and looked towards the side before back at her now that the red had left his cheeks. 

The small light of the candle seemed enough around the pitch darkness of the cabin. Reagan could see the male’s face. She’d seen him before, but had never even cared to go and talk to him or learn his name or anything. She just couldn’t be bothered. She’d been in the show for longer than most contestants, and even though she didn’t have a problem with being social, this time the whole show felt more real than before. It was a bit overwhelming. Reagan took the candle from him and scoffed at the mention of the hockey mask. In all her time in the cabin, she’d never even had a glimpse of Jason or something scary at all. This was the first time, and for some reason she wasn’t even close to be scared. “I’m the creepy chick?” She asked with a raised eyebrow. “Jee, thank you. Such a good compliment.”

  Scott stumbled on his own words a bit "I uh, shit I didn't mean that in a bad way." He ran his fingers through his hair, "I just meant, that you never seem to be around all that much. You're always off on your own, like you've got better things to do than come hang out with the rest of us." He got  the feeling that his apology wasn't exactly up to par. He got the feeling that she was unsettled by something "Hey, you alright over there? You look kinda nervous." He was legitimately concerned, he hoped he didnt make her uncomfortable by straight out calling her weird. "Listen, you can stay in here with me if you'd like, I mean; I dont bite or anything... well most of the time at least." he jested at her trying to pry a smile out of her. "I'm Scott by the way, seeing as you didn't care enough to tell me your name before popping up in my room." he said almost teasingly.

Sadie wasn’t scared of storms, she had treated herself to a long hot bath and was now out of it ready to paint her nails and go to bed. Half way through her little beauty routine, the dorm room light flickered and then went straight out but that didn’t send her into a worry straight away. She figured it was just a busted bulb, but she needed some help to fix that. Carefully, Sadie moved off her bed and felt her way to the dorm room door, but as soon as it was opened she was met with more darkness and the sound of screams coming from the tv in the living room. “What’s going on?” she called out, the rumbling of thunder and lightning caught her off guard and she jolted. Following the light from the tv, Sadie ended up seeing the ghastly images of the teens on the screen. Those woods looked a little familiar. Yet another crash of thunder echoed around the cottage, but it also sounded an awful lot like footsteps. "I…oh god."

  Scott was relaxing when the lights went out, he was sitting down on his bead, writing another one of his songs when the darkness robbed him of one of the few times he felt like writing music. His guitar rested by it's shoulder strap against Scott's back. It was at the rhythmic sounds of thunder and lightning that Scott thought of her. "Well i guess the pretty blonde is normally the first to go right?" with a sigh he stood up and moved at a slightly hurried rate to Sadie's room, he knocked  and opened the door, "Hey, you alright in here?" He called out as softly as he could in an attempt to not startle her. Scott figured whatever stunt MTV was pulling they'd probably try to get their ratings up by getting some screams out of somebody. He didnt know many people in the cabin yet anyways so he kept the few he did know close. He sniffed the air "Oh wow, are you really doing your nails in the dark Sadie? That's gotta be rough." He offered her the candle he had with him Partially to comfort her and maybe sort of to comfort himself. Something about her put him at ease, he figured if he was going to crash with anyone to wait out this freak storm it would be Sadie. He leaned against the wall opposite from her and smiled, he situated himself to get comfortable, swinging his guitar from his back to his side so he could rest against the wall better. "You're not afraid of the dark are you?"

His joking nature set her at ease slightly as tried her hardest to keep her eyes away from the television. “Uhhh… you lead the way, Fred.” She chuckled at his new nickname, grabbing his arm more tightly than someone who was totally calm and collected would have. “I’m not getting dragged off in the darkness, and if I am, I’m taking you down with me. You’re louder than I am. You can scream for help, yeah?” She tried to keep smiling, to remain calm, at least on the outside.

Scott smiled as she clinged to his arm, he liked that feeling, like someone took comfort in his presence. He could feel the small jitters in her hand as it nearly cut the circulation off to his upper arm. "Well then, we're going to the basement. No T.Vs playing creepy gore porn on them down there and i can see a bit of light coming from the door to it. Dont worry, if something tries to drag you away it'll have to do so over my dead body." Scott had this innate paternal instinct because of his sisters from back home. He had gotten into a fist fight with a kid that had only allegedly harassed his youngest sister, so naturally when it came down to protecting someone, like in real situations Scott was a reliable guardian. Although something in the back of his mind had him wondering about the basement, what did Jensen have planned for them down there... he knew this whole cabin was one big stage prop and that Jensen and the camera crews had all the buttons and switches, why section it off during an event like this? Something must be down there for them to find or maybe Jensen was just into so creepy stuff. Either way, Scott wasn't the type to sit on his thumbs. He lead Rebecca safely to the basement door, he opened the door and first shined his candle through the opening, a gust of cold wind blew it out. "Shit, candle's out, try to cover yours, must be a window or something open down there." Scott tried to lead her by a distance, if they did stumble upon something he wanted to offer her the safety of a headstart. he looked back at her upon entering the flickering light of the basement. "You alright? Too creepy for you down here?" he looked around, the flickering lights made it a bit hard for his eyes to adjust but he found where the wind was going from, a busted old rotating fan that made a light gust, he stumbled over to it quickly and turned it off, then turned his attention back to Rebecca "That takes care of that, how's the candle?"

  Scott heard her words and was stunned for only a moment, he collected himself; relaxing his clenched right fist and popping his shirt which had twisted up in his sleep. "Nothing i guess, just thought i saw and maybe even heard something." This chick's energy threw Scott off, he couldn't tell if he she was just naturally disposed to being the quiet and straight forward type or if something had made her that way towards him. Either way he thought, having someone around was better than having noone around. He moved his candle towards her, offering it to her. "Here, not a very big light, but it's enough to let me see your face. Gotta look for the hockey mask right?" he said jokingly. He chalked all of this stuff up to Jensen being desperate for better ratings in all honesty. "You look a lot more... elegant in this light, for the creepy chick on the show i mean." That's how Scott worked, he would compliment you and then try to make a joke out of it so noone really took his flirtations seriously. "So You've been on the show longer than i have, What should we do?" he thought he'd ask for her opinion because he had heard from the other's that she 'survived' the previous episodes of the show. He looked at her with a half-cocked smile and waited for an answer.

As the lights went out, Rebecca immediately went on a search to find someone else. She wasn’t about to be left by herself for whatever was lurking around the cottage, just in case. Making her way to her own room, she heard Scott’s familiar voice calling out as he saw her. “It’s just me,” She replied out when Scott had caught sight of her eyes in the darkness. She moved around him into his room, stopping to light her own candle from the flame of his. “I didn’t mean to scare you.” She admitted, gripping the candle in her hand, keeping it close to her so he could see her face. “I’m not gonna lie. I’m a bit spooked. I know it’s all for ratings and viewers, but that doesn’t change the fact that I’m a huge coward.” Her voice shook slightly as she spoke, forcing a small laugh to escape her lips. “We should probably round up the others, though. This isn’t Scooby Doo, we’re not splitting up, right?”

  Scott was soothed by Rebecca's presence, something about her was so motherly and nuturing that he always found himself smiling when she was around, which he suddenly realise made him look creepy as he was standing in front of a cheesy horror flick and only illuminated by a faint candle light. he dropped the smile and looked back to her, "Please, Scooby Doo's ratings are way higher than ours, that's just fact." he chuckled a bit, "Alright Daphnie, Do you want to lead or would you like me to? Normally the person in the back gets picked off but the person in the front always comes face to face with the spooky thing." he jested, something about how she held herself told Scott that she wasn't as comfortable right now as she was pretending to be.
