UNFORTUNATELY, I’ve recently lost my job because I told my employer I live with a chronic illness. There are no words. I have no idea how to even try and justify something like this. I’m here, I’m working for you and it’s hard because I’m exhausted all the time and you ask me to do very physically demanding things all day and then you fire me. Because I told you I might need a day off to go to the hospital for treatment. “I have lots of other healthy people waiting in line to work”. I don’t even know what to say. For those of you who advised me to seek legal help: I tried but I can’t, because the company I was working for is well covered and I don’t have nearly enough money to sue anybody. So yeah, that’s the update: I have rent coming up and no work at all and finding another will take me a lot of time and frustration because there are no fucking jobs in this country, let alone for someone who’s ill. Af of right now, if you can help by donating even the smallest amount, I’ll be able to pay the rent and start looking again for a more permanent solution. Please, if you can, help.
