5. What is something you learned while researching a fic?

So many things, but my favorite is perhaps the most useless of them all. I placed Cokeworth next to Birmingham in my canon compliant fic, and did a lot of research on its urban planning and development in the 1960s and 70s. In a bout of temporary insanity (which I inflicted upon @stonecoldhedwig), I became obsessed with the Birmingham inner ring road and the best thing I learned was that in the 1980s, stretches of the inner ring road were used as a racetrack for the Birmingham Superprix, an annual Formula 3000 race. During this period, Birmingham nicknamed itself "the Monaco of the Midlands," which entertains me to no end. I just *know* James and Sirius would've taken the piss out of Lily for that one had they all lived to see 1986.

10. Is there a character or ship you'd love to write for but haven't yet?

Order-era Jilypad for SURE.

22. Did you do anything special to celebrate finishing a fic?

I have never finished a fic in my life. I will finish The Things We Carried, though! I plan to take a small break and write one of the AUs I have floating around in my head, as a treat.
