I have my own opinions regarding god and it’s always been fucked up to me why you have to fear someone that’s allegedly supposed to be like someone pretty close to your heart. Why be scared of them unless like they’re gonna hurt you or something. John’s fear is justified but his overarching feelings toward god are still love and like adoration…omg adoration 👀👀👀

but in this au I mean it’s pretty clear that from an objective standpoint god and John are not in a good relationship at all and John has gone through a lot of trauma like a lot and honestly how can he blame god if god loves him..(god gave him the scars tldr and john doesn’t think it’s a big deal but obviously expendable is not ok with it. That’s why god was so up in arms about it)
